Did you know that Kawartha Dental has a sleep dentistry clinic where children have all their dental work done under general anaesthesia and adults can have iv sedation for their dental work if nitrous oxide or oral sedation is not enough to help with your anxiety? The dentists at Kawartha Dental Clinic can treat you under IV sedation in a safe and comfortable environment. Dental appointments don’t have to be upsetting traumatic experiences any longer! Kawartha Dental Clinic 09.07.2020

WE ARE OPEN!! Effective Monday June 1, 2020 the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario approved the re-opening of dental clinics for all services, not just emergencies. As such, all dental appointments can be booked effective immediately. With regards to dental cleanings, a soft reopening is taking place, but regular dental care has resumed. This includes our anesthetic facility services (sedation dentistry). Please call the office (705-743-1851) to book any treatment or... treatment that was previously cancelled as a result of the pandemic. Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice and now more than ever. We are strictly following and have exceeded recommendations and guidelines made by the Ontario Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members. During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff. We will postpone treatment for any patient who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days of the scheduled appointment date: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue and reschedule. We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments. We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied, if possible. For those patients who need a guardian to accompany them, we ask that this be limited to a single family member. Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry and upon exiting. Please take your temperature the morning of your appointment. We will confirm that you do not have a fever with a digital thermometer upon your arrival and screen you. Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, toys, and so forth, since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. The staff will be wearing recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) above and beyond recommendations. Thank you for being part of our dental practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbours, and friends. WELCOME BACK!!
