Welland Hydro customers experienced momentary outages between 9:23pm and 10:16pm yesterday. Depending on their location, some customers could have experienced up to four momentary interruptions lasting approximately 1 second in duration. The cause of the interruptions was found to be surge arrester failure. The defective components were isolated from our system at approximately 10:30pm and were subsequently replaced. We do not anticipate any further issues following completion of these repairs. Thank you to all customers who notified us.
