It’s Thursday January 7 which means we are ready for our next dance challenge. I have emailed 3 links to our Dancefit YouTube Channel for you to subscribe to and for our dancers to follow along. ... The first link is our flexibility challenge for our backs. The second link is a Lyrical Combo instructed by Miss Myah with a front and back view. The third link is an instructional video which breaks down three key dance techniques from the lyrical dance combo. The videos are for all dancers ... jazz, ballet , musical theatre, tap and even if any hip hop dancers are interested in trying something different. We will have more dance routines for ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz and musical theatre on its way soon!! Be sure to send in your videos to earn your dance points. As we welcome 2021, we can reflect on all that we have learned in 2020, working together to bring us closer despite being apart. I have to say, these past few months that we were able to open our studio doors has been a blessing and I have cherished my time with all your little ones who have taught me that no matter what obstacles we have, we can and will dance through them. So thank you all for your... continued support and uplifting love and smiles that you have shared with me through your children. Although we are in lockdown, I am devising a dance plan that can keep the dancers actively working on their skills and techniques. Well it’s #january2021 And as promised I am sending out a January Calendar for all #dancers to follow along with at home. Again, this is for everyone; ballet, lyrical, hip hop dancers, jazz, tap or musical theatre dancers. We are all in this together to ensure we stay fit and keep working on our dance technique. Videos will be sent out during the week to explain the various postings. I will also have this posted on our website DancefitCanada.ca with videos for dancers to fol...low along. Tomorrow we begin with Capture the Before ! Dancers can take a photo or short video of one of their dance moves that they may be struggling with. They can hand it in by email to [email protected] By the end of the month with all the activities to follow along with, dancers can Capture the After (January 30) to see how far they have progressed! All videos handed in will receive a score just for handing in. The dancer with the most points earned will receive a DFC prize to be announced at the end of the month.
