For those of us in Newfoundland, being on the water is nothing new. We've been living by the ocean, working on the ocean, and eating from the ocean for over 500 years. Having grown up in coastal Newfoundland, our co-owner Terrence knows that all too well!... But, going into the water is a different story. Exploring our local waters and harvesting oarweed has given him an even deeper appreciation for the ocean. Have you spent much time on, or in, the water?

Laminaria digitata thrives in very cold, turbulent ocean conditions. And, lucky for us, that's exactly where we harvest our seaweed off the coast of Grates Cove, Newfoundland. Conditions like these actually encourage the laminaria digitata to produce more of the amazing and nutritious gel that goes into every bottle of our seaweed lotion.

The seaweed that goes into every bottle of our seaweed skin care lotion comes directly from the North Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Newfoundland. We harvest it by hand ourselves and we use a non-chemical extraction process to make sure we get as much seaweed as possible into every bottle.
