Scouting isn’t just for youth. As a volunteer, I find the opportunities for my personal growth and development are amazing with Scouts Canada. I’ve learned and accomplished things I never had thought possible. And I believe in the vision and mission, that as Scouters we are preparing youth for better success in the future. The reward that is a smile on a youth’s face when they achieve something they didn’t think possible is greater than any medal or certificate that I c...ould be given. Plus we get to act like kids sometimes too Jamborees, camps, family training - all such great opportunities to meet new people and experience new adventures ourselves. I shot a bow and arrow for the first time at PJ. I also walked further than I ever thought possible... We are actively looking for volunteers to join us. We are especially in need of section Scouters (leads) for beavers and cubs. Currently I have enough Scouters to support an extra section of each but do not have a lead. Our cubs last night were visited by Ashleigh from Accel Physical Therapy & Massage to talk about Remembrance Day and the war. They even did a few pushups! Thank you Ashleigh for visiting and sharing your knowledge with our pack.
