A while ago on a local Lake Country Facebook group I came across a post that caught my eye. An older gentleman in the area volunteers at a local thrift store, and rides his covered mobility scooter with a trailer to carry a tote for various items. On his way home the cart battery started to get low, so he unhooked the trailer to make it home, and by the time he went back for it it was gone. In my mind I thought about how that would feel for him, and then thought about all the... materials in the shop that I rarely use...so I posted that the shop would make him a new one free of charge. Between some new aluminum angle I had, a vintage golf club caddy, and a new tote, this is what I came up with. The frame articulates so he can adjust it to level the trailer to his cart, also allowing him to pivot backwards like a ramp to easily slide the tote off. On that note, I got a tote with a handle and wheels, so he can bring the tote inside to put stuff in and leave the trailer where it sits! All that is left is to go see how it connects to make the hitch, and 4 tie downs to keep the tote secure when he's in full race mode See more

Moving on up...and finally able to get a new subscription to Canadian Hot Rods Magazine...so cool to have met these guys near their beginning when we did a Stickshifts garage crawl up to their place in Nanaimo. Thanks for supplying the next 2 years of fresh reading material for our customers!!

With some some big and some subtle changes, A Cut Above Manufacturing is open for business in our new location in Vernon. We are no longer doing body work and full paint jobs, anyone in need I have a very talented shop to direct you to. Our focus will be machining, welding/fabrication, custom made parts, and vintage restoration work of a varying range of items. We will be doing customizing as far as automotive goes, as well as some mechanical repair work. I'm very proud t...o announce that over the last 2 years I have created an engineered tie rod that is an improved version in many way over currently available ones, and is being followed by a new style of tie rod end, straight axle control arms which are the start of our own line of automotive products! Sales are beginning in the industrial industry for semi truck and large equipment as of October. We will be making the passenger car and truck versions available to the public in 2022, in the meantime small custom orders may be available. See more

Welcome to A Cut Above Manufacturing!! This will be a bit of a slow move in, we have some physical changes to make, however we will be open and operational as of September 13th!

This has been an incredibly difficult time, being closed for 2 months has certainly been life changing. The wait is over, this week we move into a new location, and soon enough will be back underway. I appreciate all of you that stuck around to see where we go...the new location being right in Vernon is a huge difference in exposure. Stay tuned for more updates!!

Well I appreciate all of you that follow the page, it has been tough not having a shop for over a month. Come September we start into an amazing contract that has taken years to make happen...and I will share absolutely no details until we are underway . For now my old contracting business is filling the time..stay tuned for some major changes...this will shape our entire future!! Well unfortunately our new shop did not work out. I currently have moved everything into storage, anyone out there with any leads, it would be much appreciated. No special power or size requirements, I am hoping for 2000sq ft or bigger, it could be a barn with a concrete floor...shop...whatever gets us back up and running! Just finished the next phase of the pneumatic leather press! A few holes to drill and a little welding, it will be ready to plumb and pressurize!

It is official,we are moving to a new location at the end of June! The new shop is over double the size, tons of outdoor space, 3 phase power and divided into two sides. Machining, welding/fabrication will have its own side, everything automotive on the other. Over 20 foot ceilings and massive roll up doors which will no longer restrict what goes in and out!
