Hi my friends. It has been a while since I posted anything. I know that some of you are wondering how I got to be the handsome dude that I am today. Well the answer is that I was apparently a delightfully cute puppy. Right from the beginning, people kept telling me what a sweetheart I was, even though I was blind. And I have pictures to prove it. These were sent by my very first family and I am so grateful to them because my current mom and dad can now see what I looked like then. So what do you think? Was I a cutie or what??

Well my peeps. Achilles Dog House just made a donation to Paws For Love Dog Rescue in Thunder Bay. These are the amazing people who took me in and set me on the path that eventually led to my Mom and Dad. They have rescued thousands of dogs and even many that have challenges like tripods, doggos that need wheelchairs, have balance problems, seizures, or require major surgeries and of course...there is me- the blind boy. Way to go PFL. Thanks for not giving up on us.

Hi my friends. It’s Achilles here. Life is so good for me these days that I have decided it’s time to give back. I have a new mission and I am so excited to tell you about it. You know that I am a blind boy and I had a pretty rough time in the beginning. Being a blind dog is not easy and there is so much that I have had to learn in order to be able to fit into the doggo world. My mom and dad have been so patient and loving and I am finally feeling much more secure so I know it is time to pay it forward and help other doggies too. Hello my friends, Did you know that EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques /tapping) and Reiki are very helpful healing tools for animals? Check out the video to see what my mom does. She also works with dogs and their humans.. How amazing it that! She told me that since I have been practicing with her, I am more relax, capable of better releasing and managing my emotions. It seems like I have more trust in my parents now. Our sessions together are peaceful and I get to sleep o...r just snuggle. I especially love her meditation music. Working on resilience! It’s important to understand that I have been with my new family for about 1.5 months and it takes time to adjust to all the new stimulus (noises like cars, skidoos, people walking snd talking near me outside and children playing..)routine and my humans. I love them so much... and don’t want them to leave me ever... I get that they need to go eat, sleep, wash themselves, go shopping for my food and treats, but I have difficulty when they leave the house. Wish they could put me in their coat pocket, so I could spend every minute of the day with them, especially my mom. They teach me how to self regulate and learn to trust that they will come back! Lots to learn, but so worth it! I CAN DO THIS! I AM STRONG AND I BELIEVE IN MYSELF!

Hi my friends. I wanted to share my excitement with you!! During the last month I have been working hard on the leash, and guess what.. We found a tool that is helping me. Woot, Woot, check me out.. and this is only after 3 days. My mom and dad are so proud of me. Still lots to learn but I love working and learning new things. Bye for now.

Happy December my friends As you can see, I’m ‘chillin’ with my new dad. He is amazing and has taught me so much alreadyand my new mom is really sweet and gentle and loving. Well my friends. My big day finally arrived. Today my new mom and dad came to get me. I was so nervous at first and then I just got so excited that all I wanted to do was run around and pounce in the snow and play. My friend Nikki and her friend Tracey came to get me at 7 am. Thank you to Patti and family for keeping me safe till I could travel again. Nikki stopped often to let me out to stretch my legs on the trip cause it was so long. Then I just went back to sleep. When we... went through Hearst, it was ‘all paws up’ for my new doggy grandma Helene. I can’t wait to meet you at Christmas. Nikki and Tracey arrived in Timmins to meet Luc and Danielle a little after 4 pm. We all walked around for a while together and then it was time for me to say goodbye to Nikki and Tracey. Nikki was really sad but she promised to come and visit me at my new home next summer. So ends one chapter of my life my peeps. Stay tuned for the next chapter. There are adventures to come See more

Hello from Thunder Bay all my peeples. I have had a very interesting few days, that is for sure. First Devin took me all the way to Winnipeg and I got to stay with his cool family for a few days. Abby has a sister call Sadie and she is a looker too. She and I got along even better than Abby and I. See pics of me with Devin and Lauri and daughter Dia. Then Margaret and Nikki picked me up and we met Dave MacKenzie of Canadian Trucking Magazine and his family and finally hit the... road for Thunder Bay around 2 p.m. EST. I was a little high strung by then after so much activity so Nikki sat in the back seat with me and cuddled and stroked me all the way to Kenora and then I felt a lot better. Good thing too cause we stopped long enough in Kenora for me to visit my special buddy Mary and I really got excited then. I lived with Mary and Sadie and Frankie for a month in the spring before I went to live with Al at Spirit of the North and she taught me lots of cool things. And you know what??? I remembered them too when I saw her again. It was a short visit but a good one. Then we were off to Thunder Bay. There were lots of transport trucks on the road but I mostly slept. Finally we got to Thunder Bay and I went to my new temporary foster home (till it is time to go to Luc and Danielle). Patti has a really nice family and a special dog called Mocha. She is a real cutie too but I think she may be just a little bit jealous of the attention I am getting. But she plays with me outside so I will work on her with my charms. The dog that needs a village is off to Winnipeg

Good morning peeples. What a glorious day it is . Yes I know there is lots of snow but I likes snow and I am on my way home so all is good. Allie took me to meet Devin last night- he is driving me to Winnipeg where my friends Margaret and Nikki will pick me up. Devin had Abby with him. I am in love! She is a bootiful golden lab but at first she was playing hard to get. I had to use all my charm and good looks to woo her into letting me share the bed. But it worked but poor Devin had to sleep on the seat.
