Powerful action with just a few needles.
Odemin Ghiizis and @ocamacollective are two Toronto-based doula collectives that deserve our support to keep doing their *incredible* decolonizing, anti-racist ...work! Please consider supporting the campaign for these collectives with an amount that is significant to you ($5? $20 $100? - these are all great contributions!). Not everyone who would like to have a baby ends up having one. Author of Plan B, Jody Day describes her journey through this grief.
This is an incredible study of the long term effects of chemicals on fertility. Spoiler alert: Its not good news. Makes me grateful to live in Canada where glyphosate has been banned, but we are not unaffected by what our neighbors to the south do. Once a chemical is in the environment, there is no telling where it will travel. Everything is connected.

This is the long answer I give anytime someone asks me why I think more people are having trouble getting pregnant now than ever before.

Please help spread the message of care and consideration for people struggling with growing their families. Pregnancy is NOT an April Fool's joke.
Try Guys LOVE acupuncture! (I think you will too!)
This is a really useful clarification, especially for my clients taking extra hormones.
A little lightness for today!
I am seeing more and more young people in my clinic who are wanting to get off the pill and I think this kind of myth-busting is useful. Chinese Medicine is powerful for regulating periods and healing menstrual issues.
Upcoming workshop for folks that want to know more about their own reproductive health.
Pay what you can prenatal yoga, with free childcare <3
I aspire to this kind of care everyday!
Small steps forward. Fertility treatments are still considered "optional" by OHIP, but this helps a little.
Very good news.
Would you consider having your baby at home? What if you knew that hospital maternity care providers were choosing to have their babies at home? Curious?
As you contemplate "New Years Resolutions", please consider this:
This is a useful overview of the potential effects of cannabis use on fertility.
In my opinion, it was only a matter of time before the CRISPER technology of genetic modification was applied to human embryos. The way it happened was off the books, a rogue scientist. But now it's out there, in the gene pool.
This is so interesting! I ask all of my clients where they feel stress in their bodies. Perhaps I could ask about so much more!
In the same night I receive a heart-wrenching email from a client whose baby didn't turn today and she is scheduled for a c-section, this article shows up in my newsfeed. Maybe there are more options...

The ideas of yin and yang are essential to Chinese Medicine (and mean so much more than that regrettable tattoo you got in the 90s!). This video helps to explain why yin and yang are relevant to your life!
This a both a touching and helpful article about one physicians experience of fertility treatments. (Spoiler alert: she used acupuncture as part of her supportive care!)

There is nothing new under the sun, is there! The use of cannabis as a medicinal product has been documented in Chinese medical texts reaching as far back as 200 CE in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Interestingly, although all parts of the plant were noted as having been used (leaves, roots, stems, flowers and seeds), over time the medical emphasis gradually tended to favor the seeds. That's right, hemp seeds, the ones you can sprinkle on your hot cereal! ... Although there is a lot of fresh excitement about CBD, as Meghan Telpner has explored in this article, I trust in the years of cultivation and experimentation in ancient China and that they would have already discovered the most health promoting part of the C. sativa plant.
