Today, we had the privilege of supporting Principal #Amyhunt and her quest to have all the students at St. Joseph's A McKay School come together in the playground to form a giant heart. But because of COVID restrictions and concerns that all ~300 students would be crammed into one space, a little creativity and some (soon to be released) editing by our new visual editor, Karly Barker will hopefully result in an amazing final shot. What made today REALLY special however was t...hat each student provided at least 1 non-perishable food donation which Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank collected at the end of the drone shoot. Some of the boxes required 2 people to lift in and out of the van; we couldn't have been happier to help with that kind of heavy lifting! Today at 1pm, we'll be flying over St. Joseph's-Alexander McKay Elementary in the North End of #Halifax! The 300 or so students will be making a huge heart in their playground (we've got a clever COVID friendly plan for that) and each class has filled a box of non-perishable food. After all the donation boxes are loaded into our van, we'll be delivering them on the students behalf to @parkerstreetfood this afternoon!
