Did you know that a lot of the work that Africa Centre is able to do is because of our amazing volunteers?! Our volunteers are the backbone to every program that Africa Centre provides, and their dedication is essential to the work that we do. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every person that donated their time with the Africa Centre. Are you interested in being a volunteer? Meet one of all-star mentors/ support tutors, Josh! "My name is Josh, and I am currently a mentor with the Mentorship & Leadership Program at the Africa Centre. I started volunteering with the Africa Centre in March 2020 to support families and individuals in the community as COVID-19 had caused students to lose access to in-person tutoring and support from their schools. I love working with the Africa Centre through the mentorship program as each week presents new stories, challenges, and learning opportunities (for both myself and my mentee). Outside of the Africa Centre, you can find me bobbing my head to all genres of music, running in circles, or studying Kinesiology at the UofA." Are you interested in being a support tutor to youth in elementary, high school or university? Link in our bio to sign up!
