Update for the Maple Ridge Club from the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre. Bad news, unfortunately. All indoor facility rentals have been canceled until July 31, 2020 to protect the community and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Community halls, fairground buildings and recreation centers are closed for rentals in response to Provincial direction to ensure physical distancing and prohibit gatherings of 50 people or more.

We were trying to hold out as much as we could but we have decided to temporarily shut down the Maple Ridge and Vancouver dojos and canceling classes until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak and for public health reasons. Much as we all love Aikido, the safety and health of our members and families must come first and we must also do our part to help mitigate the spread of the current threat to our health. We will reassess the situation after spring break in terms of when we will reopen the dojo, and we will be in touch with any updated class schedule so please monitor the club's website and Facebook page for any updates. A reminder that the kid's class tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 22nd) will start at 9am because of a special Kenshu (Advanced Training) for the adult class.
