For those who are wondering, we still do not have the necessary protocols and permission to practice.

My dearest patients, As most of you are aware, Premiere Horgan announced yesterday that they have plans to gradually reopen BC. In his statement, Horgan mentioned that some services, including RMTs, will be able to start working again in the next few weeks. Please understand that even though we have been given an estimated return date, we are still waiting for guidelines from the Provincial Health Officer to ensure we can keep our patients, and ourselves, safe. I promise to ...keep you posted to the best of my ability, but please be aware there are Many changes ahead of us, and it will take time to implement them all! Many thanks for your patience. Please continue to keep yourself and your loved ones safe, as this pandemic is far from over!

Clinic Closure Update! As most of you know, my original plan was to open the clinic once again for the beginning of April, after the recommended two week closure. However, the regulatory body for RMTs in BC, the CMTBC, has been in direct contact with Dr. Bonnie Henry, and it has been clarified that all non-emergency health care work has to stop until further notice. This means I have no control over when I am allowed to open the clinic again. As frustrating and upsetting as ...this may be, I am 100% committed to do everything I can to keep you, my community, and my family safe and healthy. Please stay home as much as possible, friends. When going for walks, whether on sidewalks or nature trails, please pull yourself off to the side and wait for others to pass if there is not enough room to keep 6 feet between you. I have seen several suggestions online to use little doggy poop bags as gloves for opening car doors, pumping gas and handling cash, which sounds like a darn good idea to me! These bags are relatively inexpensive, especially if purchased at a dollar store, and are not in high demand like latex gloves. Please be kind to yourselves and one another in this strange and stressful time. Sending you all some happy, healthy vibes!

This note is not just for the nurses I have the privilege to treat, but the Doctors and Pharmacists and Hospital Techs etc. We cannot thank you enough for what you do, especially at this time.

*Update* ~As of today, the CMTBC has recommended that all Massage Clinics close for a minimum of Two weeks before we reassess and considering opening~ Due to the current global health crisis, I have made the very difficult decision to close the clinic for the time being. The closure will be reassessed weekly, but as a non-essential health service, I believe it is in the best interest of our community that this action is taken. ... Please feel free to text or message me with any concerns. You do not need to individually cancel your appointments - I will do so as each week comes. Take care and be safe, everyone.
