Our initiative at Vaughan Mills Mall was a huge success! We were able to create awareness towards Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation by speaking with over 600 people who stopped to interact with the staff and volunteers! Events like these help us to grow our platform and support more orphans in need! Thank you for supporting us ~... --- www.al-ayn.ca

I like people that help people Maryam wants to become a watercolor painter. She was asked why and replied: I want to show the beauty of the birds and butterflies and bees. When members of the team met Maryam, she was participating in an art workshop. Her eyes did not leave the paper in front of her as she focused on coloring within the pattern (pictured). ... As she drew and colored, Maryam was silent. Once she finished the various activities, Maryam was a lot more chatty. She spoke of her dreams for the future. When I am a grown up, I want to go to University. When she was asked, what do you like? Maryam instantly replied: I like people that help people. Her wish was to turn the dry land green. Maryam’s words were always thoughtful and unexpected. Maryam has lost her father. She now lives with very little material comfort. Yet a life with poverty and loss have not dulled Maryam’s ambitions. Despite the hardships faced by Maryam’s mother who cares for her and her 9 other children, your support means their suffering is a little less harsh. Thanks to you they can begin to rebuild their lives. Maryam is one of over 63,000 children sponsored through Al-Ayn today. Consider sponsoring a child on our waiting list.
