This Is New Westminster Record Producer /Songwriter/Musician Scott Young. With Covid being what it is, my work with musicians from Canadian bands like Prism, Trooper, Idle Eyes, Barney Bentall, has ground to a halt.. the side effect of not be able to currently produce records and perform has opened up time to work on my own music which never seemed to get done.. A friend for a couple of decades works at the Royal Columbian hospital.. Rewind a few months, Excited he had fin...ally struck up a relationship with someone that he really connected with.. then Covid swoops in, and because he is frontline in the pandemic, he can’t see his new love close up. My wife and I chatted about how that must be really tough.. It inspired me to write this cheeky little poprock song, called Lock Down Love Affair.. I hope it can put a smile on some faces Any which way you could help create awareness of this tune, would be much appreciated Here is the official link.. See more

Freakrock Entertainment is holding a Battle of the Bands every Tuesday at Daniel Cook's Donegals Irish Pub in Surrey. Here are some shots from when I stopped in to catch some of the bands.

SURREY SONGS.. Tuesday will be an evening of bands playing their own music at Donegals Irish house.. 4 bands are duking it out to see who moves to the finals and a chance to win a Recording and Radio Airplay prize. Come out and support song writing at the grass roots level.. one of these bands could be the next Arcade Fire, or Nickle Back.
