Courtney Clarke was the winner of the 2019 Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario ARIDO Norma Ruth Ridley award. This award honours interior design students who display impeccable professionalism and ethics and who understand the importance of good business practices and professional standards. Applicants are judged in five areas: academic achievement, professionalism, community involvement, character and communication. So well deserved! Congratulations!

Job Posting! Junior Interior Designer Job Opportunity (1 year Term)... The Senate Administration is seeking a junior interior designer to assist its Property and Services Directorate team in developing and implementing the Senate of Canada requirements under the Long Term Vision and Plan for the Parliamentary Precinct. The successful candidate will support the Property and Services Directorate team in planning and managing office accommodation moves between the various Senate occupied building in the Ottawa downtown core. The ideal candidate must have a degree in interior design. The assignment is for a 1 year term with the possibility of an extension. Candidates must demonstrate that they are well organized and have experience completing interior design related tasks on time and to a high level of quality. Candidates must also demonstrate that they have good oral and written communication skills in Canada’s both official language. Good Afternoon Designers, Susan Firestone Design is looking to hire a full-time interior designer as soon as possible. Please see the posting below. Job Description:... Susan Firestone Design Inc. has created exceptional, timeless, interior design solutions throughout the National Capital Region for over 25 years. Our portfolio of work includes high-end residential projects, hotel interiors, restaurants and bars. Currently we are seeking a full-time Junior or Intermediate Interior Design Associate with excellent communication skills, strong technical skills, and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively. This position will be a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the design industry working directly alongside senior designer Susan Firestone. Your responsibilities will include the design and preparation of custom interior details, production of full construction plans, management of all purchasing and other administrative details. You will collaborate directly with clients, contractors, supplier and trades and artisans. Applicants for this position must have graduated from an Interior Design Degree or Diploma program or an Architecture undergraduate program.
