Greetings all. This week we have completed our Clerical Council regarding the return to Holy Eucharist.. We all believe that we have been guided by the Holy Spi...rit, and Shared together in Eucharist. The Diocesan Fast will end after October 4th, which means by Thanksgiving Sunday, (11th) with preparation, there may be a Eucharist in your parish. Covid 19 has challenged us, but as well has taught us many things. There is a document and video available for you to view and study. I do believe that you will be blessed in many ways by what we will be doing at Eucharist in the Future. Your Brother, and fellow servant in Christ. +John Link to document https://drive.google.com//11ZGA3Azh7KdK_UWlYRPjcOrn3/view Link to Video https://drive.google.com//1SW-l553Gcj2DG96L428Y7hx3Q/view See more

The Bishops Walk of Hope Bishop John has discerned that the time is ideal for another Prayer Walk. On a personal level, he wishes to offer thanks for the te...n-year anniversary as a Cancer survivor. Walking is a sign of hope, faith and thanksgiving. As well, walking is a powerful symbol of carrying loved ones, those in need, and those whom we love but see no longer, on our journey. In this time of uncertainty and change, the Bishop is asking each parish to participate in some way to unite our Diocese in prayer and action. That may be in the form of a local walk, prayer gathering or online service. Simply put, he is asking each of us to participate in a way that brings meaning to you, and connects our whole diocese as a family and community of faith. What Can I do? The Bishop and others will be leaving Gander from the Goose Irving at 8:00 a.m. Saturday October 24, 2020. You are invited to join the walk. If you are holding an event, try to be in prayer and fellowship sometime between 8:00 a.m. and noon. Make sure the details of your event are sent to synod office so that we can share them with others! If you wish to Donate as an outward sign, sponsor sheets are available from Synod Office, Local Clergy, or online at centraldiocese.ca. Donations will be used for various forms of outreach to those who need a helping hand in times of illness or need, through the Friends of the Bishop Fund.

Where are we Headed? Followers of Jesus who have been devoted to the Church Did not need COVID-19 to show them that things were radically changing, or how peopl...es views of God are no longer being determined by the authority given by Culture to institutional religion. Followers of Jesus, do not require help from Church Growth marketers, peddlers of solutions and gimmicks, or turn Churches into entertainment centers. Followers of Jesus are not being called to defend orthodoxy, but toward in a renewed trust in the action of the Holy Spirit as witnessed in the outward signs of transformed lives. Followers of Jesus are being called to see the many ways that God is very active in the world today, and accept the invitation extended by a Holy Spirit, to join the Creator in an adventure of both affirming, and challenging all people and structures to engage ways of justice, peace, generosity and hope. Followers of Jesus are being called to honest self examination, bravery, sacrifice and loving action. Followers of Jesus are being called to accept people as God does, where God has found them, and join in authentic, loving and simply caring communities. The Rt.Revd.John Watton
