What are we waiting for, Canada? Mink fur farms are reservoirs for COVID-19. Ban fur farms before it’s too late.

In 2019, Canada made the admirable and compassionate step to ban whale and dolphin captivity. The Jane Goodall Act is building on this progressand is one of the most progressive animal protection bills EVER introduced in this country!

In the past five years, the number of animals used in experiments DOUBLED in Canada But animal research isn’t just cruel, it’s also costly & largely ineffectivewhile humane, technically advanced animal-free research generates much better results.

BREAKING: The Senate just introduced the Jane Goodall Act that would BAN great ape & elephant captivity & performances, outlaw ivory imports & elephant trophies, & give some animals legal standing in court. Thanks Jane Goodall Institute of Canada for backing this groundbreaking animal rights bill!

COVID-19 outbreaks in Europe & US mink fur farms have led to mass culls & lockdowns& now a mutated form of the virus has been found in a mink farm in Denmark. Canada urgently needs to transition fur farmers out of this cruel & dangerous business model!

ACTION ALERT! Canada's pork industry is breaking its promise to phase out cruel gestation crates for pigs by 2024, & is moving the deadline to 2029subjecting mother pigs to a further 5 years of torture. Tell the government to BAN gestation crates!
