My hiking shoes gave in this past weekend and I decided to go find a new pair. I went to the usual 'everything' store and as I passed the home decor section I was reminded of why Artichoke exists...It looks like art, acts like art but it ain't. I am talking about those mass produced textured prints with misspelled labels of authenticity that are everywhere and not cheap either...these puppies were going for $150 and are ultimately destined for the landfill. Art in my opinion is about connection, originality and beauty. Next time you are tempted to decorate with these mass produced faux-art objects consider supporting a local artist. You are not generic...your walls shouldn't be either. #beoriginal #realart
