Hello members, By now you should have received an email from the ATCMA administration that clarifies some misinformation about the ATCMA's work, priorities and focus that has been shared over the last week as a result of board election campaigns. PLEASE NOTE: this is meant to clarify misinformation as we want members to vote based on facts, not hearsay. It is in no way a sign of support for or against any candidate running for the Board. The Executive Director and Office ...Administrators have received numerous calls, emails and messages from members who are concerned by messages they have received by email or viewed on social media, so today's email is meant to clear up any unsubstantiated information and misconceptions that are floating around. The ATCMA aims to be inclusive, and we welcome all members to voice their opinions and share their concerns, but we encourage everyone to do this constructively. Please reach out to the administration directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Good news on CEUs! Registrants who are due to report CE hours by April 2021 this affects you the most. The CTCMA QA Committee has published an update on its requirements for Continuing Competency Program’s Category A (Direct Participatory, Formal Programs). ... Registrants are required to complete 6 (of 50 total) CEU hours in-person, but in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now allowed to fulfill these 6 hours through online, live interactive workshops, seminars or training for which attendance is taken and monitored. This can be counted retroactively to CE activities from October 1, 2020. That means any ATCMA online seminars that you have taken live from that date on will count! The 6 required hours can now be fulfilled in several new ways, including one new way that we are pleased to highlight: Self-Study of the College’s Covid-19 Clinical Resource Package (for up to 4 hours). This new document was created in collaboration with the ATCMA! You are already doing the work of implementing health and safety measures in the clinic get credit for it through this self-study exercise and quiz. It will also be very handy in clinical use throughout the pandemic as it contains links to all of the relevant authorities that are informing us and making decisions on COVID-19 policy. This is just a snippet of the announcement. Be sure to read the full document and access links here: https://ctcma.bc.ca/quality-practice/continuing-education/

Hello members! Due to the high volume of board nomination forms we received over the weekend and yesterday, we are postponing the start date for our elections by a few days. We need time to verify all of the candidates’ details. We will adjust the end-date for the election period accordingly, so don’t worry, you will still have two months to cast your ballot. We'll update you again when we have firmed up the date for the start of voting (it will be within the next few day...s) Thanks for your understanding!
