We are very proud to have been a part of a group of restaurants that donated meals to all frontline workers. With Ramadan now in full flow, we are making meals available to anyone in need. If you see someone that is hungry, on the street or anywhere, please let them know to drop by for a meal at Aunty’s Kitchen :)

So here’s an update: in 4 days, Aunty’s Kitchen has now given out over a 100 complimentary meals to healthcare workers! And we couldn’t be happier! The genuine ...thank you that we have gotten from EACH one of the health workers has been totally worth it! And now we want to do even more. Until now, we were only able to provide meals to those that came to the restaurant. But many of you have called looking to order meals for an entire department for groups of 10 and above as many are working long 12 hour shifts and are unable to go out for a meal. Aunty’s Kitchen will now be able to cater to that request as well. All we require is a 24 hour notice and we can have meals ready for your entire team and we will deliver it to your hospital/clinic/retirement home all for FREE. Finally, we will adding the option on our Skipthedishes and UberEats menu where you can buy a meal for a healthcare worker. This has been a request by quite a few as well and we wanted to make sure we cater to that as well. You can also purchase a meal for a healthcare worker in store. To summarize: - group meals for 10 and more can now be ordered. 24 hour notice is required. Will deliver for free. - Everyone else: please come to the restaurant to pick up and enjoy your complimentary meal. - Anyone will be able to contribute towards buying a meal for a healthcare worker by ordering in store or on an Aunty’s Kitchen delivery page on skipthedishes and UberEats starting next week Thank you again to ALL the healthcare workers - your hard work deserves every bit of recognition and love and we at Aunty’s Kitchen couldn’t be prouder to do our small part. God willing, we as a community WILL come out stronger through these challenging times.

Today, we had the honour of another community hero visiting us. Meet Christine. Christine is a mental health clinician in an ACT (Assertive Community Treatmen...t) team. She helps individuals in the community who have severe and persistent mental issues. This puts them at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 because they are unable to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves. Christine and her team do whatever it takes to keep these folks out of the hospital and have a good quality of life. A big shout out to Christine and all other frontline health workers risking their lives to help others through this difficult time.
