Here are some of our favourite orange(/red) things in order to check in about code orange at the farm - Cherry the feisty horse, Anagosh the alpaca checking out Thomas the cat, and some of our colourful squash. We've changed the class sizes for our Yoga class to 9 (to stay in the 10 person limit with Holly the instructor), and our Tours are now capped at 9 people per group as well. Our farm morning day camps have maximum 6 students so it won't need any adjustments. Otherwise,... we'll be extra sure to keep our safe distances and wear masks! This weekend! Doors Open Winnipeg, and the reveal of our new Gift Shop. We're very excited to be renting a room on the main floor of the St Norbert Arts Centre as our General Store and Local Gift Shop for the rest of the year! Keep an eye out for hours and information on all the great local products we'll be carrying in our store. Also here this weekend - @britta.spiring and @anitasgardenart with beautiful setups, and @hollow.reed.healing.arts is open today on the second floor.

TOBACCO GIVEAWAY! We’ve had an amazing and bountiful crop of tobacco this summer and we’d like to give it to people who will use it for healing and ceremony. We will harvest the whole plant and have them available with instructions on how to simply hang and dry. Please let us know in the comments or by message if you would like some. They will be available this weekend at the opening of our new year round gift shop on the main floor of the St. Norbert Arts Centre this coming weekend between 11am and 4pm. Meegwetch! As the sun sets on this beautiful early last day of our garden summer, we are so grateful for this bounty of rain, sun and our labouring hands. This harvest is such a powerful reality - that feeds us and keeps us healthy. Plenty to share! Watch for our coming weekend sale and giveaway.

Coming in from pasture for the evening! Goats enjoy routine and will let you know if you're late - to milk, or let them in, or feed them breakfast. We have an awesome herd that will generally come when they're called (Winnie the brown goat always comes over because she loves attention). They like to stay together with the herd, so as long as you can convince a few to come in the rest will follow. Bringing them in and out of pasture is one of my favourite chores - you get to feel like a bit of a celebrity for a few minutes! #aurorafarm #goats

Two sisters hanging out... And a bit of sibling rivalry in the second! Heather and Midge are definitely farm favourites. They are Norwegian Fjord Horses, a very strong and sturdy old breed. They are enjoying their rest after a full and fun summer of Farm Camp. #aurorafarm #horses #norwegianfjords
