I began AuSome Mom 4 years ago, when I made my 1st weighted blanket for my autistic son, and in that time I pray that I made a difference in people's health & well-being (especially the kiddos). I have enjoyed making each & every blanket - experimenting with fabrics, seeing all the interesting designs and patterns, and most of all making people feel comfortable & happy again when they needed it the most. "Intrinsic rewards are the non-physical rewards & can be defined as the ...feeling of contentment one finds in the completion of any task." I have had THOUSANDS of these rewards through your comments, compliments & pictures you have sent me to show the contentment your loved one has now achieved. Having expressed my GRATITUDE to each & everyone who has followed me these last 4 years, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to shut down AuSome Mom. Since moving to the mainland in January, finding the non-toxic/food grade poly beads has been my biggest challenge. I have been able to carry on for as long as I could (using the stock I already had) but with the prices on fill & shipping costs increasing daily, it just isn't cost efficient for me to continue. For those who have orders in with me for Christmas, THOSE ORDERS WILL BE FILLED. I do have enough to complete my current list, but unfortunately I am unable to take anymore. Again, the biggest THANK YOU goes out to those who continue to use their Custom Created Comfort - without you, I wouldn't have been doing what I LOVED to do for the past 4 years.
