MUST WATCH!!! No more speculation, opinions, myths or legends. The truth be told. The fact are the facts.... Palmiro Campagna's evidence based presentation of the rise and fall of A.V. Roe, the Arrow and related systems. The actual costs ( program and unit) are also debunked as well as the behavior of both political and military actors on both sides of the border who ultimately killed our world leading Canadian military and civilian aerospace, innovation and advanced manufacturing industries and our hard earned National Dream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdxum2OiBeQ

We have been talking about the coming obsolescence of these and other 5th Gen jets designed solely to stealth criteria. Canada and many other nations require evolutionary performance that goes beyond stealth. That requires "innovation inventory" that results from frequent innovation that keeps us several steps ahead of the "bad guys".... The "century series" CF105 MK3, PS2 Long Range, MK4 and related platforms were originally conceived to deliver just that. With our modernization programs that can be the result Canada needs to get back in the game. https://nationalinterest.org//why-f-35-and-f-22-might-not-

BREAKING NEWS!! On Friday, July 31st the FFCP/PSPC of the Government of Canada (GoC) required each of the remaining 3 foriegn OEM fighter jet manufacturers, through their host countries, to submit their proposals to replace Canada's CF18 fleet. On that same day, Avro Bourdeau Aerospace submitted our USD$550 BILLION (aggregate) illegal subsidy/dumping complaint to the Government of Canada's Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) of the Canada Boarder Services Agency....Continue reading

Lots of finger pointing here. And the same people who advised Harper and Mackay to buy the F35 in 2010 are still pushing for it to replace Canada's CF18 fleet in 2022. In 2020 the F35 is still a huge unknown on unit costs, maintenance, life-cycle, over 800 unresolved deficiencies and the erosion of its stealth capabilities in the face of stealth detection radars.... And the GAO in the US has put the F35 on an annual review pending "full production" certification with the overriding threat of scaling back production or killing it altogether. The 6th Generation 2035 UK Tempest program makes the F35 look VERY dated. It still can't fly Canada's air defense mission. Look at all the wasted time because of our government's "anything but Made in Canada" when it comes to major military procurements like this and the Frigate program (another Lockheed Martin Type 26 "paper " ship that hasn't even been floated yet let alone proven its design and performance claims. https://www.thestar.com//ghost_of_the_avro_arrow_haunts_th

From John Mulligan. Definitely worth a read. -------- Original message --------... From: John Mulligan Subject: Russian TU-95 Bombers SU-35 escorts over Alaska and A50 Radar Early Warning & New Beriev A-100 Premier with AESA Hi Marc, Yesterday 10 June 2020, there were two groups of Russian TU-95 Bombers with Su-35 escorts that flew into the Alaskan IDIZ so within the 200 miles zone and 8 miles from the 12 miles zone out from the coast being American Sovereign Airspace. There are a few sources on this including Canadian, but this one from ABC News gives more details and also has a clip from what the Russians released om their site Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation A minute and a half video showing the TY-95 Bears taking off and also being escorted by US F-22 Raptors. Each of the two Russian formations had along with them an A-50 Beriev AEW&C Soviet Airborne Early Warning and Control plane. They stayed further back. Their max speed is 900 km/h 560 mph .73 Mach at Sea Level The A-50M is the Updated version with Ari to Ari Refueling A-50U updated with new modern electronics They have a 9 meter Dome over the fuselage and a crew of 15. Range 7,500 km and Service Ceiling of 39,000 ft It can control up to 10 fighter aircraft for either air to air intercept or air to ground attack missions The Radar Vega-M is capable of tracking up to 150 targets simultaneously within 230 kms (140 Miles) Large targets like surface ships can be tracked at a distance of 400 kms (250 miles). Their Upgrade is the Beriev A-100 Premier first flight 18 November 2017 and being introduced in 2020 Developed to replace the Beriev A-50 Avionics and configuration similar but with the new AESA Listed max speed same as the A-50 900 km/hr 560 mph, 490 kn Max Speed of .82 Mach so must be at altitude. The new Vega Premier AESA radar in the (9 metre) dome will have electronic steering in elevation while azimuth is controlled by the rotation of the dome. The array will rotate once every 5 seconds, thus improving the radar's ability to track fast moving targets. It can detect aerial targets more than 370 miles away and warships nearly 250 miles away. And just 4 short years ago they had it all. . . This is what management incompetence and executive greed looks like. Strip all the value out of Canadian innovation and waste all the public money provided over BBD's history.... BBD destroyed Canadian aviation for what? You get to provide the answer. https://ottawacitizen.com//ff501449-a294-48ee-af64-73063b/

MUST READ!! This is the text of our message sent to former MND and CPC leadership candidate MacKay regarding his quote on his campaign page emails today. And YES; CPC candidate Erin O'Toole and the others will get his/their chance to reply to the same question.... I quote your email post of today. "I proudly co-founded the Conservative Party of Canada. I served in Cabinet for almost 10 years and did so during the recession of 2008-09. I have worked extensively in the private sector. In today’s world, I see the need for a more resilient and self-reliant Canada. It’s time the federal government got out of the way of hard-working Canadians and unleashed the Canadian spirit. Unlike Trudeau, I will not block the projects that will build our prosperity. I will get behind them. I will not approve those which sell out or compromise our national interests." Does this mean your will renounce your commitment to buy the F35 to replace Canada's Cf18 fleet AND DIRECTLY SUPPORT the Avro Bourdeau Aerospace (ABA) program to modernize the Made in Canada 5th Gen supersonic CF105 MK3 and 6th Gen hypersonic MK4 proposals that was rejected by YOU as the MND in 2012 (remember Bourdeau Industries and Lew MacKenzie?) YOU and the CPC DID BLOCK OUR MADE IN CANADA PROPOSAL. Under Trudeau, the PSPC/ FFCP competition is open ONLY to foreign governments and their inappropriate foreign made fighter jets. The ABA FFCP application was rejected because we ARE Canada's sole proponent and prime contractor OEM fighter jet company of record. The WTO 'National Security Exemption" was invoked by the PSPC/FFCP officials (who were your procurement advisers in 2010-12) to specifically keep ABA OUT of the competition and manipulate the outcome to endure the F35 was selected! Dassault and Airbus withdrew from the FFCP for precisely that reason. The ABA program re-establishes Canada's long denied manufacturing, innovation and aerospace sectors, creates over 25,000 new sustainable direct jobs and 225,000 spinoff jobs in the larger Canadian economy, supports our sovereignty of supply of our air defense requirements and generates over $1 billion in new tax revenue ANNUALLY while reinvesting the FFCP $19 billion acquisition and $60 billion life cycle taxpayer investment with 80-100% Canadian content. This is a "YES" or "NO" question and answer that goes straight to your Quote above. Canadians demand a clear and unwavering statement from you on this. Your answer will confirm or deny your commitment to Canadian national interests and prosperity in your statement above.

I asked leadership candidate MacKay today if he would reverse his long standing support of the F35 and provide sole source support for our Made in Canada manufacturing, aerospace and innovation program to replace Canada's Cf18 fleet if he became leader of the CPC and eventually Prime Minister. See the text of his and our interaction above. I await his response. I'll share once (if) we get a reply.

Wow. 26 years and they STILL can't get it right!!! "Its a prototype" excuse doesn't cut it anymore. LM has tried to get the F35 to full rate production and make fixes retroactively but in spite of over 450 under performing units in the field the GAO rightfully refuses to sign off until most of these are fixed.... The solution from the Pentagon and LM? DOWNGRADE the Criticality from Level 1 to Level 2 so it can get a pass. They did that when the F35 could not maintain the SOR top speed of Mach 1.65, fell out of supercruise and did not have the required unrefuelled range. Canada has accepted these deficiencies . . .so far and rigged the FFCP against Dassault and Airbus and the rest. That is why they said they withdrew from the FFCP. https://www.flightglobal.com//agile-strate/138345.article
