Sharon Williston from the BSG Status of Women Council will be working along with Tianna Butler from CMHA to deliver safeTALK and they are inviting you to attend one of the sessions. CMHA has secured funding which provides the opportunity to provide you the training with no financial cost to you. It will cost you your time, your energy and your willingness to have an open mind to try something new. safeTALK is a four-hour face-to-face workshop featuring powerful presentations,... audiovisuals, and skills practice. At the workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone with thoughts of suicide, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. There is a limit as to the number of seats for each session and these will be filled first come, first serve. The dates are times are as follows: Wednesday, November 25th 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 1st, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 9th 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. You must be 16 years of age or older to participate in the training. All sessions will take place at the Den of the Stephenville Lions Club. Please contact Sharon to book your spot at [email protected] See more
