The museum will be open again this weekend from 11am- 3pm Saturday and Sunday. Why not stop by and see some of the new displays we have been working on and check out the continuing upgrades to the museum. Please be aware that there are some new procedures in place that are similar to what you have experienced in local stores already. Unfortunately a couple of displays and the children's play area are not yet available to use do to cleaning and distancing requirements but we hope to reintroduce all the exhibits as soon as practical. Museum opening hours are currently limited to weekends only for July and will be subject to review as we move forward. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

We are pleased to announce that the British Columbia Aviation Museum is again open to the public on a limited schedule. By following the government health authority protocols regarding cleaning and physical distancing we have decided to open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm only for the month of July to begin with. We will continue to expand on the opening days and longer hours as soon as possible to return to our regular schedule. Watch for updates in the next few ...weeks regarding changes in scheduled opening hours. When you arrive at the museum you will be greeted outside and given current information regarding your visit. Once signed in you can proceed to the admissions desk and continue your tour of the museum. It should be noted that at the current time we have limited access to some of the exhibits due to cleaning requirements: the children's play area, T-33 cockpit and Viscount interior are not available. Signs and arrows on the floor will direct you around the displays while avoiding unnecessary contact with other guests. We look forward to having you back visiting the Museum and hope to see you all again soon. See more

Edmonton through to Kamloops planned for Saturday. No further times listed yet but I suspect with other stops along the way we could expect them to be over Victoria for the Victoria Day holiday Monday which would be appropriate and the best substitute we could hope for the cancelled parade that everyone generally looks forward to on that date.

Keep your eyes to the sky this weekend and maybe you will catch a glimpse of the Snowbirds over various places on Vancouver Island. We will update any details as they finalize their schedule. Has anyone following us from across Canada seen them on this tour yet?

Just a reminder to everyone that the BC Aviation Museum is temporarily closed due to the Covid 19 risk. We hope all our volunteers and valued guests stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Here is a video with a little advice from one of our Canadian astronauts that might help you adjust to the current situation around us.

Out of an abundance of caution and in support of our community to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19, the BC Aviation Museum will be closed to the public immediately. As a result, until further notice, all Speaker Night events are cancelled until further notice. The decision to cancel was not taken lightly and is based on the latest information being released by regional, provincial and federal public health authorities. We know that seniors are at high risk of serious... illness due to COVID-19 and want to ensure the safety of our community, volunteers and visitors. Being socially responsible we want to do our part to help promote ‘social distancing’ to prevent or slow the spread of this virus. As this is a fluid situation, we will remain closed until we receive further notice that it is safe to re-open the BC Aviation Museum and resume our regular monthly Speaker Nights.
