This is the ultra rare, very quirky Canonflex R2000. Made to compete with the mighty Nikon F in 1959, it failed to set standards and didn’t pave the way for future SLRs to come due to various reasons. It’s still a very interesting and fun to use camera, however, with features that not many SLRs from the period have. At this point, you might have heard the news! Fujifilm is discontinuing Pro 400H. 35mm is gone, while 120 will be around until the end of the year before being gone for good. We’re all very sad about this, as Pro 400H was always the best entryway into medium format on the cheap. It’s probably the only film where there is a significant difference between formats, as the 35mm and 120 versions seem to render scenes quite differently. This week for Film Friday, it is Kodak’s T-Max 100! One of the sharpest, if not the sharpest BW film out there, T-Max 100 is often used to test lens sharpness and character. This is due to the T-grain structure that sets it apart from older cubic grain films like Tri-X.
