Many thanks to organizers and participants in the 2nd annual David Nixon Memorial Golf Tournament held Saturday, September 26 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Georgetown. $5500 was raised through the tournament, raffle and 50/50 draw with proceeds in support of Bethell Hospice Foundation. We are truly grateful for your support, and for the kind words you sent along with your donation: "Please accept this donation from the late David Nixon, his family and his friends as a token... of gratitude for all that you do. Behind the scenes, in the hardest of times, the Bethell Team is the backbone of the word 'support' -- quietly in the background, ensuring the comfort of their residents, and as an answering board to the many families and friends of the residents. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do."" -- The Family & Friends of David Nixon" See more
To care for those that once cared for us is one of the highest honours.
October 25 - 31 is Spiritual Care Week. For some, spirituality is an expression of faith & religion. For others, spirituality is expressed as feeling purpose or meaning through body, mind, heart & spirit. Or as an expression of love for family and friends. Or through nature, art, music & meditation. We are so fortunate to have Steven Janzen as one of our Psychosocial Spiritual Care Coordinators at Bethell Hospice. ... Thank you, Steven, for providing comfort to our hospice residents, community clients, and their families. See more
