Back in the early 2000’s when mountain bikes generally fell into two categories: XC or DH. This is a photo of Stu, from Whistler riding 50 lbs of monster bike along the exposed slopes of Verbier Switzerland. He pedaled and pushed this rig like a champ over a serious weeklong adventure. Today, we’re riding slick long-travel enduro bikes and even high-performance battery powered bikes...who would have known?! #mountainbike | #ridebig

Did you know that a Cornell University study concluded that the anticipation of an experience (like a trip) can increase a person’s happiness substantially, much more than the anticipation of buying material goods? Not surprising, really. Unfortunately we can’t book big trips these days, but we sure can keep dreaming of travel. Dream away, friends! #mountainbiking

We’ve always held riding quality as our highest priority on our trips, singletrack specifically. There are exceptions, like our Botswana safari adventure where we ride mellow million year-old elephant paths among the gamut of African wildlife which raises the excitement and experience level in a big way. This ride I’ll never forget. Our last ride in Greenland, we’d just watched a bowhead whale getting butchered on the seashore by Greenlandic Inuit. They graciously offered us raw meat which we tried, an unforgettable moment. This was a challenging 21km ride of mostly rock slabs, it was mid-September and getting cool for riding. #greenland | #ridebig

Dawn patrol to high alpine missions never disappoint. Considering the exceptional weather that we’re experiencing here at the moment and the long list of dismal global prospects these days, it was incredible to watch the sun rise in the alpine with two good friends and then shred back to the valley on tech singletrack.
