We couldn't be more proud OR excited for Cami & Tony on this next step in their business. Urban Apothecary is located at 320 6th Street South (across from where our old location was), and they have been working SO hard on their new space over the past months.... Urban Apothecary consists of the makers of our Urban Micros Artisan Lollipops, and you have probably spotted them and their other beautiful products at local markets around town. What is Urban Apothecary? It's just as it sounds! They carry Essential Oils, Herbal Teas, Nourishing Skin Oils, Room Sprays, Skin Serums, Sun Tea Kits, Wellness Soaps, Organic Microgreens, Candles & More! With much of their product crafted in house. Cami & Tony have created a totally unique experience in Lethbridge and you should definitely stop by their space today to help them celebrate!

The nights are getting darker. Autumn provides us a brief spell where everything becomes bright -- a tapestry of colour and texture... before letting go completely. Like one collective sigh whose breath releases all tension and worry to the whims of the wind. There is comfort in that wind.

So. It's a little dark in here right now due to a Downtown Power Outage. We will get to today's orders as soon as the lights are back on (no one wants anything we design when it's designed in total darkness). In the meantime, hold tight! Our doors are locked and phones are out for now, but you can go to our website to place an order!

We are open from 9 - 1:00 tomorrow and will have pre made arrangements in our front cooler for grab and go only. All covid themed Christmas ornaments and cards will be 25% off! As well as our holiday themed candles. We will have our doors open for browsing to make it easy on ya, but will only allow 2 clients in at a time. We will be adhering to covid protocols (masks and sanitizing, people!). ... Merry Christmas Eve... Eve!

If there is one thing to say about 2021 so far... at least the weather has been decent? Feeling all the Spring Vibes (and wishes) with this design of sweetly scented Hyacinth, Clematis, Chrysanthemum and Ranunculus.

We are all caught up folks! And we have a very limited assortment of florals available to design with. We will be taking orders until 1 PM tomorrow (December 23rd) for delivery and pick up should you still need anything! ... Our website is also up and running again with limited selections.

CHANGES GOING FORWARD (the plot points): 1) BLOOMdiggity will be limiting in studio public access beginning Tuesday, Dec 15th until the new regulations have been lifted 2) Nightly Website Updates 3) Contactless Pick Up will be available in our Front Foyer... 4) PRE-BOOKING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! (refer to extra use of capital letters and exclamation point) Plot Points in Detail: 1) DON’T PANIC! We are not closing, and will still be busy flower elves behind the scenes. Should you need to visit our studio, appointments can be made for 1 customer at a time. However 2) With our nightly website updates, all stock including giftware, cards, artisan sweets, and daily cooler designs will be available online at www.bloomdiggity.ca . This means that you will still have access to the same selection online as you would in store, allowing you to skip the outing and support local as safely as possible. 3) Contactless Pick Up: this is the same system as last March. If your order has been prepaid, it will be in our front foyer for Pick Up (with your name on it) at your designated Pick Up Time. If you placed your order before now and didn’t specify a pick up time, we will call you closer to your pick up date. If you will be late for your pick up, give us a call and we will make sure it is safely stored in the back until you are ready. 4) PRE-BOOKING AND THE MOST IMPORTANT INFO. For the love of jingle bells, we really recommend Pre-Booking this year! With new regulations, we are seeing a rise in orders and are doing our best to give you ALL the best service & quality that you are accustomed to. In order to do so, PRE-ORDERS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY OVER ANY OTHER ORDERS. In addition, we are asking for 1 days notice for all orders. We apologize in advance if we cannot stop to create you a custom design on the fly. So please, plan ahead and either call us or order online so we can ensure everyone gets the beautiful florals they need. WHY: Why the decision to limit public access: We don’t take this situation or decision lightly. We are witnessing the heartbreak of fellow business owners who do not have the CHOICE of being open or closed. However, as much as we like to see your beautiful faces, we do not need to offer in person shopping in order to serve our local community reverting to our old model will actually allow us to serve you BETTER, and safer overall, as well as do what we can to keep non-essential outings to a minimum. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding (because, you literally ARE the best customers ever).

EDIT: We did not realize how many people needed to hear this message when we shared it. We have a follow up post to this with a special message from our team, to anyone who needs a bit of extra 'Lifting Up'. The link is in the comments section. Thank you for being the kind, caring, amazing individuals we know and love. When we were at the beginning, we held each other up. We stood as a community -- neighbours, friends and family, businesses (whether they were able to operate... or not). We received thank you notes taped to doors, happy we were still open so someone could show someone else they were thinking of them. We were checking in on each other (friends bought each other toilet paper ). The police would drive by the hospital at night, flashing their lights in honor of our front line workers. People were making homemade supplies and sending gift certificates to nurses and doctors. I remember having Netflix Party nights with my close friends, and video chats with my family (who are all further away then I can travel, so I too, will be missing out on family time over the holidays). Currently, we are seeing more Covid cases than ever before. I'm not here to argue about masks, or the multiple theories behind Covid. All I know is that the kindness and thoughtfulness we exhibited at the beginning is needed now, more than ever. These photos have us flashing back to our flower bomb at a local Nurse Tribute Statue. We continue to stand in solidarity with our front line workers. And our fellow business owners. Our seniors housed behind closed doors, and anyone facing greater risk of Covid. You deserve our utmost respect, then, AND now. Please do not forget the compassion that we once had. I promise, you will not regret doing something nice for others. We are better than the toxicity that has consumed our social platforms. Remembering the beginning proves that. We are all tired. BRRR! It's COLD out there! A snow storm during one of our busiest Christmas seasons seems fitting for 2020! BUT! We will be working with our delivery company to get everything out to everyone as quickly as possible (which will still be slower than usual). If you can wait a day for your delivery, let us know. I'm sure they'd appreciate it!... In the meantime, please remember to be courteous to ALL delivery drivers today. Shovel your walks, and express your thanks. It may be their job to be out there, but this is one of those days where they need your extra care & support.

The other day, we made a post flashing back to our Nurse flowerbomb and a call to kindness. We didn’t realize how many people needed to hear that message, just as much as we needed to share it. This includes our Front Liners, many of which have reached out and begun to share stories of how they and their teams are fairing at this time. One message in particular had our hearts breaking It became apparent in their response that just knowing SOMEONE still supported them, thoug...ht highly of them, and appreciated what they were doing was the small ray of light they needed when facing extreme fatigue (both mentally and physically). This gave us an idea. At BLOOMdiggity, we made a promise to one another a while back. This promise states that we will call each other out whenever we do not act/feel like the amazing, inspiring (cuss word, cuss word, cuss word) goddesses that we are. This promise is signed and placed where everyone can see it (and trust us, it is exercised often!). So we made a new promise to this group of Front Liners, so they too may read that promise and be reminded of how amazing they are whenever needed. However, it dawned on us that many others may ALSO be in need of such a promise & reminder. We are making this available for anyone to print off and hang wherever they need to see it. Because it is ALL true. You. Are. Amazing. You are doing GREAT. You GOT THIS. Stay strong, friends. (Disclaimer: Includes one cuss word, but was needed to really drive the point home in our opinion.
