Bodhi Meditation Toronto introduces Meditation to YMCA Youth On Aug 9, 2018, members of Bodhi Meditation Toronto hosted a Bodhi Meditation Experience session for 17 youngsters aged 15 to 25 years old. This session was conducted as part of YMCA Richmond Hill Employment Services Centres employment workshop, designed to help youth find the right job. The YMCA provides resources, employment services, career planning and personalized advise to help young people assess their sk...ills and experience. Integrating Bodhi Meditation as part of the YMCA program provides unemployed youth an opportunity to still their restless minds to develop focus, spark the awakening of wisdom and instill self-confidence. The youngsters and staff members of YMCA were treated to a 30-minute session of Meditation of Purity followed by a simple closing exercise. One young lady shared that I feel rejuvenated and full of energy after the session! YMCA Staff member, Harriett, stated: It was amazing to have these youngsters sit still for 30 minutes. They are usually quite anxious and restless. Another YMCA staff member liked the session so much that she plans to visit Treasure Tree Bodhi Meditation Centre to practice more meditation. Bodhi Meditation Toronto will be back again at this YMCA Richmond Hill location in a few weeks to introduce meditation to the next batch of workshop participants. YMCA staff also reported that Bodhi Meditations Meditation and Health magazines are quite in demand at their location. They have recommended Bodhi Meditation to their Scarborough counterparts running the YMCA Scarborough Employment Centre.

Toronto Bodhi Meditations 7-Day Energy Bagua (Aug 6-12) Session just ended. It was a powerful experience for the students. In the beginning, they had no idea what to expect from this class. Now 7 days later, they are filled with renewed hope and saw the enormous potential for their physical health. In addition, the small group of participants, the teacher and assistant teacher volunteers helped to create a warm atmosphere of love, laughter and self-improvement. Overall, it ...was a wonderful class with remarkable stories of improvements in physical and mental wellbeing! Lets hear from Leticia Nicolas She has Stage 5 kidney disease which is the end stage of renal disease. The next step would be to do dialysis. She also requires daily insulin shots and suffers from sciatic pain. After starting the Bagua class, she noticed she started to release a lot of gas from her digestive system area and needed to frequent the washroom. She intuitively felt Bagua was helping her release a lot of unwanted stuff from her body. In addition, her sciatica pain is showing great improvements each day with the pain reducing to about 10% of what it used to be at the start of the class. The most remarkable improvement was on her blood sugar levels. As she has to take insulin shots daily, before the Bagua class, her blood sugar levels average between 7-8 in the mornings and 6-10 in the evenings. During the Bagua class, her average readings dropped to 5-6 in the mornings and 6-7 in the evenings. These readings were a dramatic improvement. Moreover, these readings have been consistent during the last 4 days of the class session. Leticia told some volunteers after the class has ended that she is truly very grateful and very happy for this opportunity to learn Bagua with us. She feels there is now hope that with her kidney condition she can possibly delay the dialysis procedure through Energy Bagua.

[Unconditional Love] Mings parents died when he was young. His grandmother was too old to care for him, so she left him under the care of a Master. After many years, Ming became a monk, who learned meditation and Kungfu from his Master. Ming was one of his Masters favorite disciples because of his loyalty and talent. One fated day, another religious sect planned, out of jealousy, to attack and defeat them in order to gain power. Ming worried that his Master and the sect w...ould be eliminated as they were greatly outnumbered. Out of concern and love for his Master, he thought of a strategy to disguise himself as the Master and together with a small group of disciples, lured the enemies away from his Master who could then escape to safety. He consulted the Master on this plan. His Master, who had divine powers, already knew of the enemies strategy but refused to divulge the secret. Instead, he commanded Ming to lead a group of monks to leave the sect in a definite direction at a stipulated time. Ming thought his Master accepted his plan. He knelt down, prostrated to pay his last respects, and bid a final farewell to his Master. He was very scared but felt honored to die for his Master. Ming abided by his Masters instructions and left with a group of monks. After days of travelling, he found it strange that the enemies did not give chase so he returned back to the sect. He was horrified to find his Masters and some disciples bodies lying on the ground in the aftermath of a battle. He cried in agony when he realized that the Master had died for him and let him escape the fate of death. His Masters unconditional love touched Ming. Due to immense gratitude towards his Master, he followed his objective and devotion to compassion by spending the rest of his life imparting his Masters Dharma teachings and Kungfu to the next generation. Moral of the story: Mings Master had protected Ming and sacrificed himself to die for Ming, just as a parent would do for a son. They were not related by blood, but his Masters love for him was unconditional. His Master is like a Buddha to him. While parents also love us unconditionally, we do not take it for granted and in deep gratitude, we fulfil our filial piety duties towards them. The Buddha and our Master aim to save all sentient beings from suffering and lead us to happiness. Their love is unsurpassed and unconditional to all. With immense gratitude, and in reverence to the Buddha and Master, we can follow in their footsteps to practice Bodhicitta and spread the Buddhadharma according to their teachings. . . . See more

[Master JinBodhis Aphorism] (How to Induce Relic?) . First, what I understand is extreme compassion. Buddha Shakyamuni did not say "I am God, believe me and you can receive God's protection." He wanted mercy, compassion and love for all beings. When our hearts reach extreme mercy and ultimate sincerity, some things that we hope for will materialize. .... Second, because the supreme meditation master is selfless. "Selfless" means he does not want to get all the beautiful things in your world i.e. he has no desire. Most of us will say "This is good, give it to me." . So when a person desires nothing and suddenly one day has a desire and ask for something, sometimes God will fulfill his wish. Those who truly need wealth will get rich and receive money; even the so-called fame and fortune will be given if necessary. . Instead, people who desire nothing may get some kind of incredible beautiful things. This is induction. There are a lot of such induction of relics in history. . . https://www.facebook.com/jinbodhiw/videos/2142808626006285/ (Photo): www.pinterest.com See more

[Use both your Mind and Body] . One Friday, Sandra received a call from her friend, Joey. Joey asked Sandra to join her to attend a Weekend Group Practice at Bodhi Meditation center. . Sandra was a finance executive and was busy with work during weekdays and she wished to rest during weekends; hence, she rejected her friends date, My mind is tired from working, I like to rest during the weekends.... . Joey said, Your mind is tired but your body is not! You are mentally tired but physically you are not! You can still chant and practice the Full Prostration or Energy Bagua. . Sandra pondered and agreed with her friend. Good idea, I may be tired mentally after working the whole day but my body is not! I should practice walking meditation otherwise I keep putting on weight! . Joey laughed and said, See you this weekend at Bodhi Meditation Center! . . . Image Credit: www.pinterest.com See more

On the warm sunny Saturday July 7 we held the first English Bodhi Meditation Introduction session. Twelve people came to attend, most of them got to know Bodhi Meditation through our outreach activities. During the presentation, everyone was captivated by the amazing experiences from past practitioners where they recovered from various kinds of illnesses, painful chronic conditions or mental health issues. The healing effects were so quick and complete that they almost seem...ed miraculous! Next came the experiential stage where participants went into deep relaxation accompanied by the soothing Bone Melting Meditation, followed by energy healing from senior practitioners led by teacher Fa Hui. After the closing exercise, several were eager to share their experiences. Neeli said that she had back pain when she came to our Centre . now after the healing, her pain was completely gone. Two other ladies said that they had not felt so relaxed for a long time in their life, they felt wonderfully refreshed. More commented that they felt our Centre was such a warm and welcoming place that they would certainly come back again. One elderly gentleman shared that he just joined last weeks Thursday evening English group practice and just that one practice, he went home and slept through the night with no interruption. Usually he would get up three or four times a night. And he had been sleeping through the night every night since then! Then we introduced all of our meditation classes, everyone was very attentive. After the successful completion of our introduction, a light vegetarian lunch prepared by our volunteers was served and it was a huge hit as well. Participants mingled with our counselors to get more information about various classes and what is suitable for them. In the end, eight of them signed up for our classes, with 3 of them committed to attend all four classes! Seeing the enthusiasm from our participants, we cant help but be amazed once again at the wonderful dharma of our beloved Master! And once again we were totally in awe and deep gratitude to our Master. So many people have found health and happiness again because of you! We will always follow your footsteps and do everything we can to spread your compassion to everyone!

[Master JinBodhis Aphorism] The only objective of dharma cultivation To be liberated from suffering and to gain happiness. There are only two reasons that people choose to cultivate with me to gain health and happiness. To gain happiness, you need to awaken your wisdom. Without wisdom, you will not be able to prevail over your troubles and hence you will never achieve happiness. ... Phrased differently, it means that the only objectives for pursuing dharma cultivation are to gain health and wisdom. There is only one objective to Buddhist dharma cultivation, and that is to be liberated from suffering and to gain happiness. The less troubles we have, the happier we will be.

[Master JinBodhis Aphorism] Question: "How do you manage your emotions?" . This is a problem that everyone has to learn to control throughout their life. To put it simply, still need to use compassion and love to face the people around you. .... Those people that are hurt by our words are often the one closest to you. Those hurt the most are our family members. . The second most frequently hurt by your words are your colleagues; your hurting words can never hurt your enemy because you will not speak to your enemy. . Therefore, the key to control the emotion is still mainly based on compassion and love and a little more understanding for each other. . Remember that "more praise and less reproach," and your happy life starts from observing such small details, good time begins. In fact, everyone likes to be praised. . Praise can produce energy. A praise is better than walking an hour of Bagua and is really effective. If you dont believe, you can try by praising each other and you will see the immediate effect. See more

[Master JinBodhis Aphorism] (Health is the most important) . I hope that everyone when they reach middle and old age will still have a healthy and happy heart. .... When we are old and still able to walk with ease, look after ourselves, and not having to be dependent on our children and families to look after us, this is the greatest blessing. . Whether we have more or less wealth, do not wait till you are old to gain enlightenment and be liberated. Let us hope that we will not wait until the day we are old for us to begin to be an awakened and understanding person. . Be a person like a sunflower, let health, happiness and enthusiasm always be with us. Let us be like the little flower which gives everyone blissfulness, health, and happiness; this is what I wish for everyone in Bodhi to be like when they are old. See more

[Master JinBodhis Aphorism] (Focus in practicing Energy Bagua and Full Prostration) . Due to lack of vitality, your mind is chaotic, thus Energy Bagua practice is the fastest way to strengthen your body energy and calm your mind. .... It is similar to an unstable voltage whereby the light bulb always flickers. Therefore, many people who are often emotionally unstable are unable to have an engaging conversation. To them, good things can turn out to be bad things and emotions are always beyond their control. . . .
