The range is fully open for use again!! Thanks for your cooperation and understanding during our execution of hosting IPSC Provincials. Many IPSC participants give us outstanding feedback about how nice our range is. There is only one more event planned for this fall and it is the Project Mapleseed Marksmen event/course on September 27th. Check out one of our earlier posts for me details and a registration link.

**Notice ** Range Closures for IPSC Provincials** Starting Sunday September 6, ALL pistol bays are closed until Monday September 14. Rifle Range will be closing Monday September 7 and closed until Monday September 14.... The IPSC planning group could use as many helping hands from volunteers to help. This can be with the setup through the week (Starting Saturday September 5) or helping out during the event at the range (September 11-13). If you can help out, please come to the range during the day and ask for Todd and he will gladly put you to work.

We are hosting a Project Mapleseed Marksmanship course on September 26. Project Mapleseed is an apolitical rifle marksmanship training program that focuses on teaching traditional rifle marksmanship from standing, sitting/kneeling, and prone positions in a one day shooting clinic. Project Mapleseed is open to shooters of all ages. The minimum you need is a .22 rifle, 400 rounds of ammunition and a teachable attitude. Mapleseed is open to all calibers and sight types includi...ng scopes. The .22LR semi-automatic, magazine-fed rifles are the most commonly seen for their ease of use during the mandatory magazine changes and low ammo cost. Bring what you have, the shooting fundamentals taught apply to the shooter not their rifle. The goal is to learn and have fun. This event is taking place Saturday September 26 at the range, it is hosted by Project Mapleseed, with the BSSA proudly offering the space for this great event. Registration spots are limited, and on a first come first serve basis. Do to COVID-19, Project Mapleseed had to postpone their spring sessions, so if a member was signed up for that and it was cancelled, they are welcome to register for this fall event. The price, date and time are in the attached link.

Busy week ahead and we could use some help! Monday the range is open for normal use after a great IPSC qualifier weekend. Monday evening is our monthly range meeting. If you want to be heard with ideas or would like to help out, please attend, new faces are always welcome. We will be meeting 7pm at the Neighbourhood Inn. Ask at the front desk which conference room we are meeting in. ... VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Thursday August 13. We need some stand ins/silent actors for a safety/orientation video we are creating. Help would be welcome. And a chance to get out to the range is always a good excuse. We will start gathering around 1pm at the sign in shack. Weather pending.

There is an IPSC qualifier match being held at the range this weekend. If you would like to check out some great action shooting, please feel free to stop by on Saturday or Sunday and check it out, just remember to bring your hearing and eye protection. We will also be hosting the IPSC Alberta Provincials in September, stay tuned for a closure schedule as the time draws near.
