Goodbye 2020, Welcome 2021! What a year - What a f@*#ing year!!! Hopefully we can all look back on this and smile. ... Might be a crooked one with a raised eyebrow, but we will smile, and eventually hug again! As a small business, 2020 faced us with MANY (and I repeat, MANY) new challenges. Just when I thought I had it all together for the team - BOOM!!! Covid. So many new things: FEAR (which I don’t feel often) the unknown, adversity, endless new ideas where your brain never turns off and you don’t sleep to make ends meet, guilt for time away from home, balancing balance, acknowledging and feeling blessings, learning resiliency, mapping out edmonton (thank you for all those deliveries) facing exhaustion... most importantly, the joy of never quitting. My team. Oh my lord...MY TEAM. How can I even begin... These gals are my people. They are EVERYTHING - These beauties never stop! Actually!!!! They NEVER quit. They thrive on a shit show (that’s a fun thing for us) They show up EVERY DAY with their hearts on their sleeves, they’ve created trust and friendships within each other, which is amazing... they will never let each other feel overwhelmed, always offering a helping hand and they bring snacks They produced CRAZY amounts of sugar cookies (umm like 10 thousand), chocolate bombs custom cakes (roughly 6 thousand), copious amounts of cake pops, cheesecakes, pies, cupcakes, shop cakes, donuts, deliveries, squares, posts and balancing the books. I am forever grateful for them. They surpassed goals like champs! But YOU, none of this is possible without YOU! YOU, the reader, the sharer, the liker, the one who places orders, calls, texts, facebooks, instagrams, messengers, snaps, emails, shares our posts, tagging us, referring us, comes to the shop, brings wine, and says our name. ALL of you!!! THANK YOU a bazillion times over and over - I hope you know how much we value and appreciate you. Much love. Looking forward to sharing our sweetness with you in 2021.
