We are sure you heard the news that massage will be allowed again soon! We are still waiting for more details from our associations on when and how to execute ...the change but we are looking forward to seeing you again! What we know for sure is that you will need a note from your doctor or another regulated health professional (physiotherapist, chiropractor, acupuncturist or naturopath) in order to come in for massage therapy. Some insurance companies already require a doctor's note for massage and we are hopeful that those notes will suffice. If you do not have a note or will not be able to get in to your doctor prior to your massage, we are clarifying how our doctors, Dr. Shobna and Dr. Shannon, who are regulated health professionals, will be able to help with writing the referral for you. Unfortunately, we don’t have all of the details yet but we are working hard to find out what is required to move forward. The health and safety of our clients has always been a priority at Country Hills Massage and when the time comes to open back up, you can be sure that we will be following all of the protocols in place for us, as we have been since June. The good news is that our collective efforts to advocate for massage therapy did not go unnoticed. On behalf of all of us at Country Hills Massage, thank you to everyone who emailed all levels of the government to let them know that massage therapy is as an essential part of your health and wellbeing, they definitely helped! We appreciate your patience as we work through all of the specifics around this exemption so that we can open back up for you, our valued clients, as soon as possible. We have missed you and we are excited to be able to see you again soon! The team at CHMT

Which is why when I treat someone new for pain and injury I look at all aspects of their life to see what else could be contributing to pain. Including sleep!! I made another video! Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow are injuries that I see constantly in the clinic, and have HUGE success with prolotherapy, but no treatment plan is complete without movement. Movement (including stretching and exercising) helps align new collagen fibres the body lays down to heal (a process which prolotherapy triggers), increases blood flow, and helps correct any muscle imbalances that led to an injury in the first place. If you're looking for a simple stretching and exercising routine, or would like to learn more about tennis and golfer's elbow, click the link below!
