We usually show you guys our finds and treasures, but since its spring and engagements are beginning to warm up, we wanted to show you quite the one off. Take a look at this stunning 99 point diamond! What is a 99 pointer you ask? Diamond prices go up in increments, so a .5 and a 1 carat will be quite a bit more expensive than an almost 1 carat, or a stone below .50. Essentially (and we're obviously watering this down somewhat, because there's SO much more to it) a .99 carat ...diamond looks identical to a 1 carat to the naked eye, but its price point is quite a significant amount below it. For this reason .99 diamonds tend to be quite rare, as they are highly sought after by those who wish to get a deal and jewelers tend to not waste their money on cutting a diamond into that size as obviously, it would bring them more money when cut at or above, 1 ct. We're talking a drop in price that could be in the thousands! It pays to familiarize yourself with sizes, and to figure out if perhaps a cut that is so small that the bare eye doesn't notice the difference is not just the perfect piece for you! This gem is for sale, but you'll have to DM or call us to inquire, as we do not currently have loose stones available on our site! . . . . . . . . . . #Investment #gold #silver #estatejewellery #jewellery #whitegold #diamonds #familyheirloom #heirlooms #jewelery #instajewellery #preciousjewellery #goldjewellery #statementpieces #jewelleryporn #welovegems #jewelsofinstagram #sustainablediamonds #greendiamonds #estatediamonds #giftideas #giftidea #diamond #loosediamonds #99pointer #99pointdiamond #jeweleryfacts #diamondfacts #themoreyouknow @ Canadian Estate Jewellers

Big or small, round or elongated, which ring type is the best for your engagement and most flattering on your hand? Lets quickly discuss some tips for choosing a stone and band shape that will make your hand look amazing! If you have shorter fingers look for an elongated stone, pears, emeralds and ovals are all good choices to elongate the lines and draw your hand out. If you have long fingers, lucky you! Most styles will look flattering, and you can play around with more dra...matic and bigger shapes too! Try a pricess cut with a wider (perhaps paved?) band for a bit of extra sparkle! Are your fingers silm? Stay away from larger stones and opt for something smaller with a slightly wider band, for the illusion of extra width, just like with shorter fingers, narrow or pear shaped stones will look amazing! If you have wider fingers, small stones will look even smaller, so this is the chance to play with bigger carats and larger settings (who doesn't love that?) Instead of solitaires, try a 3 stone setting and angular shapes look lovely too! For hand sizes, the rule would be smaller hands look better with smaller stones and likewise, bigger hands look best with bigger stones, so trying out and playing with different pieces will be fun! . . . . . . . . #Investment #gold #silver #estatejewellery #jewellery #whitegold #diamonds #familyheirloom #heirlooms #jewelery #instajewellery #preciousjewellery #goldjewellery #statementpieces #jewelleryporn #welovegems #jewelsofinstagram #gold #sustainablejewellery #modernjewellery #classyjewellery #giftideas #giftide#engagementrings #engagementringtypes #whatsyourengagementring #diamonds #diamondengagementring #engaged #engagementringquestions @ Canadian Estate Jewellers
