The problem with our world is that we draw the circle of family too small. Saint Teresa This global pandemic has helped us remember that we are all on this planet together. Thank you for your continued support in feeding Jesus’ poor.

GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. We are a family run charity with many volunteers and supporters helping feed the poor for the over 33 years. 98 % of your donation goes to feeding the poor. For every one dollar you donate we are able to provide 20 meals. Our mission is to give every person on earth the opportunity to develop their soul. To allow them the health to go to school and work to live a life of dignity, to be protected from abuse, to freely choose the faith they wish to follow. I would like to help the poorest of the poor in the world. Dr. A.A.Simone https://givingtuesday.ca/partners/22282

Today is #GivingTuesday - GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. GivingTuesday - the global day of giving Canada, join us for the 8th annual GivingTuesday on December 1, 2020 GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The Opening day of the giving season, it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.... GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners - nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals - to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness. Across Canada and around the world, GivingTuesday unites communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another. We have two days that are good for the economy. Now we have a day that is good for the community too.

We hope you had a wonderful Halloween night however you celebrated. If your kids collected too much candy, want to share it or you didn’t have enough kids come to your door for the treats, we are gathering Halloween candy for the poor again this year. This is always a special delight as the poor do not receive treats like this. Drop off Monday - Friday 9 am - noon. Please practice physical distancing guidelines and wear a mask to drop off.

‘Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. That where there is hatred, I may bring love. That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness. That where there is discord, I may bring harmony. That where there is error, I may bring truth.... That where there is doubt, I may bring faith. That where there is despair, I may bring hope. That where there are shadows, I may bring light. That where there is sadness, I may bring joy. Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted. To understand, than to be understood. To love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life.’ ~ Saint Francis of Assisi See more

COVID-19 changed the staffing capacity equation in 2020, but the CFFC leadership team remained resolute in its goal to empower young people to help the poor around the world. New guidelines enabled six people to work in the storeroom per shift, and youth would ideally fill four out of those slots. Young people did not even need to leave home to support the nonprofit organization that helps feed the poor around the world. I encouraged kids to sign up for our volunteer from home program, said Brian Finamore, CFFC chaplain. They needed to register with us and state in their registration about what they planned to do help the (CFFC), and they needed to promise to follow all health and safety regulations.

Dear Doctor Simone, it gives me great pleasure to greet you and I hope in God and the Virgin that you and your family are in very good health. Infinite thanks for all the donations you send to Agape with which we do a lot for the poorest people. I want to share with you that since June 14 every day we are going out with a solidarity Route to deliver to all the people affected by the Covid 19 Pandemic. It is very nice to see how we can help all these people who need it. We gre...atly appreciate your great heart for the work of Agape. The idea is to keep this help permanently. We have managed with this additional project to attend to what we already do to more than 20,000 people. Thank you very much Doctor and greetings to all your family, mainly to your wife. Lutgardo

Yesterday we packed the container that Chris and I will unload and give to the poor in Liberia. We will be unpacking two containers of food, clothing and suppl...ies in mid October in Monrovia, Liberia and the surrounding villages. I have packed in some AA materials as the priests tell me there is not much offered for those that are addicted (they live in the cemetery). We will also be working alongside mother Teresas' sisters to go into the jails; feed them and offer dignity. See more

When SIlent Children’s Mission first saw the photo of the child gathering water from a dirty pond we were outraged by the injustice in this world. Thanks to our... wonderful benefactors, this village of almost 500 people in Liberia, Africa now has clean water! Special thanks to Father Samuel Von Tucker for overseeing this project and for organizing the grand opening blessing with a feast for the children!! See more

From Toronto to Vancouver, Julian will be cycling a total of 4000km in the next two months...solo! At just 17 years old this takes a lot of courage and determination with many challenges to overcome. In the process he wants your help to raise money for CANADIAN FOOD FOR CHILDREN. CFFC is a registered charity in Etobicoke who's mission is to feed the poorest of the poor worldwide. It is virtually fully run by volunteers and is a charity very close to the Lukasik's heart. We thank you for any donation big or small and the support you've given Julian on his journey!!!

Do you ever wonder how your donations make it from our warehouse in Missasauga to developing countries? After you drop off your donation of clothing and food, it gets organized and sorted before being packed into one of our our shipping containers by one of the many volunteers working at the warehouse. It then makes its way via transport truck to Montreal, then onto the great St. Lawrence River to the Atlantic Ocean travelling on a cargo ship to make it to their final destination. The travel takes approximately three weeks to Haiti and three months to Africa.

Due to measures surrounding COVID-19, we are operating on reduced hours to ensure we can do what is best for our dedicated community of volunteers while providing essential goods to those we serve. We continue to welcome clean (new or gently used) items from individuals Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8am-12pm and truck deliveries by appointment (please contact Gloria). While donations are genuinely needed and welcomed, with a reduced shipment schedule we ask you to consider t...hat container space is at a premium (no furniture please) and whether your item is something a mother in a developing country in need can use to survive and support her children. Please refrain from leaving any goods outside the warehouse. As always, we are grateful for your monetary donations: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/m/4714/donation God Bless
