Today, Premier Jason Kenney announced the resignation of a member of his cabinet and his Chief of Staff, and demoted 5 MLA’s, in response to growing concern about members of the government travelling outside of Alberta during December 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Premier Kenney has accepted the resignation of Municipal Affairs Minister Tracy Allard, who was appointed to the post in August 2020. Chief of Staff Jamie Huckabay was asked to step down, which he has done. Congratulations to our valued clients YYC Calgary International Airport and Dynalife Medical Labs on partnering to pilot a COVID-19 testing and monitoring program that will reduce the mandatory quarantine period for returning travellers, while keeping Canadians safe. This joint pilot project from YourAlberta (Government of Alberta) and the Government of Canada is the first of its kind in the country and will safely test an alternative to the current 14-day quarantine period.
