Here are your 2020 top-10 female paddlers. Jessica The Paddle Coach left no doubt who would take the women's title, it was just a question of by how much. Jess almost pulled off the clean sweep, notching 100 points in all but the Endurance Championship. Wendy Tillett rode that event to the silver position. And, Carole Fullerton logged consistent results all season to take bronze. Note that we had Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia on the female podium! Some recognition for those that completed every regular-season event this year. This recognition is well earned, as these guys and girls paddled all season, in various conditions, covering everything from an all-out sprint to a 25 km-plus endurance challenge. Much respect to all of you...
Some artistry from your multi-lap Paddle Battle champs, Tamas - Tommy Buday and The Paddle Coach Jess Rando. Full final results on the site https://canadianpaddleleague.ca/paddle-battle/

The votes are in. They've been double-counted and independently audited. The 2020 paddle of the year has been selected from Downwind Cup and Endurance Championship entries. Oh, and there were some beauties! The winner: Lisa Beaudoin 50 km personal distance record through the Kawartha Lakes... Congrats to Lisa, who earned 43% of the vote. Well earned, as Lisa has been working extremely hard on her technique, and has been a stoked and committed Canadian Paddle League member since the beginning. Prize: Big thanks to Infinity SUP Canada for donating a carbon adjustable Whiplash paddle!
Congrats to Thomas Markhauser and Jessica Rando for securing the 2020 overall SUP Sprint Series titles. Full final recap and results are posted... Infinity SUP Canada Skog Å Kust Canada Infinite Blue

FYI, for those that are closely watching the season ranking. We made a minor adjustment to how the Sprint Series points are applied...we are now running a full-season sprint ranking in the background (i.e., your single best time from all of your monthly entries) and feeding that into the season ranking. Also, after some feedback, the 'wildcard week' make-up entries will come with a point deduction (1 star), in fairness to those that got their times in earlier in the year when maybe the conditions weren't ideal, or they weren't in the shape they are in now. Seems fair. Have a good weekend!
Season rankings entering August. This has been great motivation to keep paddling and check off all of the different events . We'll wrap it up in September with a virtual BoP-style paddle battle! Full rankings: https://canadianpaddleleague.ca/season-rankings/
