Check out our water fountain of the day! In this R&D test we are trying out a "Fluid in a Fluid" behavior were the glowing (radioactive) fluid is flowing along the main water flow. The glow emission is controlled by a finalRender light material. The fluid simulation effect was done with a work in progress SPH solver in thinkingParticles. In this video we did some R&D on extreme thin fluid behavior. Capturing the natural high frequency wave patters on reflecting/overlapping waves in a pool is challenging for any kind of general purpose SPH solver. This example uses realistic gravity values and proper scale to validate and predict the fluid behavior. Orange Juice was used for this Fountain, there is no real reason why orange juice :)

Here we go, Latest Parasite infection test, done with thinkingParticles and 3ds Max. Remarkably easy and fast setup. This plays back in realtime in 3ds Max! Still pondering if I shoudl make a tutoria lvideo out of this. As always I used finalRender on a RTX quadro to get fast raytracing and GI done in this scene. I love the candy like coating effect! Nothign fancy, just a little test of softbodies in 3ds Max and latest thinkingParticles. Simulates in 3ds Max in realtime and plays back as well pretty fast.
