Central Alberta Adult Riding Club 22.11.2020

Due to the Event next weekend we will be having our lessons on Monday evening instead of Wednesday. For the jumping classes Amy will be away but Stephanie Jones coming to sub for her. The flat class might be on the grass as the Sand Ring may be closed for preparation, Audrey and Ulrika will decide that Monday. Thanks to all of you who have spoken to Ulrika about your volunteer positions!

We are cancelling lessons tonight due to thunderstorms. Sorry for the late notice. I was really hoping the thunder and lightning would be done by now but the radar shows it differently.

As the government begins to open up businesses in Alberta, CAARC believes we can follow the lead of the Golf Courses and kick off our riding season with the following restrictions. May 20 will be our target start date unless there are further restrictions implemented by AEF via Alberta Health and Safety. As our group lessons are capped at 5 riders and we have only 2 instructors we should be well within government guidelines to get riding. Allow for adequate space around you...r truck and trailer so that no-one will be within 6 feet of one another. Please don't car pool unless it is with someone you live with. The same goes with riding, be conscious of where you are with respect to other riders. Social distancing still applies. We will not have group lessons in the indoor arena. The indoor is restricted to one rider at a time. Port A Potty out houses are still available to be used at your own risk bring your own sanitizers if this is something you'd like to do before using the outhouse. Please plan ahead and bring what you may need for an evening, this includes your own manure fork to clean up after your horse in the parking area. Ulrika would also appreciate it if you would bring your own hand sanitizer, wipes and anything else you might need. Riders will be asked NOT to show up if they are experiencing fever or any other COVID 19 symptoms for at least 2 weeks. Get yourself tested and please keep everyone safe. We CAN work together and abide by the new rules so that everyone will have a better chance of safety, health and longevity. Should the Government declare that further restrictions are warranted causing CAARC to cancel lessons an appropriate refund will be offered. Please find the Registration Forms and Waiver attached. We are currently calculating what the cost of the season will be as we will have missed 2 lessons by May 20 so be advised that there will be a change in fees. I can let you know when I receive your registration forms. Due to the shortage of time, could you please email me a scanned PDF of the forms ASAP. Deb will be available to collect funds at the first lesson. We are also unsure of what will happen with Ulrika's Events and thus the volunteer times, if she is forced to cancel the Events we will try to pick a date that everyone can come and help with a clean up/maintenance of the facility work bee.
