ATTN: ALL TENANTS RE: LAWS REQUIRING SOCIAL DISTANCE Dear Tenants, ... It has been noted that not everyone is taking social distancing measures seriously. Please read the below from our RCMP detachment in Lake Louise - It will give you all the information you need about the consequences of ignoring the new social distancing laws. YOU CAN BE FINED VERY SEVERELY - PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY. "Lake Louise RCMP Of late, Ministerial Orders from the Chief Medical Officer under the Public Health Act have come into affect. These include the order preventing gatherings of 15 people or more, and social distancing of 6 feet. Section 73(1) PHA, Individual contravening order of medical officer of health creates offence section for police to enforce the following order: o Gatherings in excess of 15 people (both indoor and outdoor) o People must maintain a distance of 2 metres whether gathering indoors or outdoors o Members of the same household are exempt when gathering. Alberta Provincial Offence Procedure Act Procedures Regulation Part 19.01 sets out a specified penalty of $1,000 for an offence contradicting this act ($1,200 with victim surcharge) For continuous offences or repetition of offences, RCMP have the discretion to issue a summons and send offenders straight to court. Courts can then impose a fine of $100,000 for a first offence and $500,000 for subsequent offences. In short, the fines for violating this act are quite severe. The Lake Louise RCMP have no desire to levy these types of fines against anyone, and ask that people take the orders seriously. Not only will this help avoid any fine situations, but more importantly improve the chances of Lake Louise remaining COVID-free. Alberta health has asked that if anyone wishes to report situations where these orders are not being followed, that online reporting at https://ephisahs.microsoftcrmportals.com/create-case/. Alberta Health can also be contacted at (403)943-2288 to report, however this line is only active during regular business hours. Reported incidences will then be forwarded to the Local Health Inspector, who may request RCMP assistance. Short of that, RCMP may be contacted to deal with any real time infractions. These are serious times, which have obviously invoked serious measures. For the benefit of all, please abide by these orders. We know that it is tough for everyone, however if we all do our best with this, we will all be safer in the long run. Thank you. Sgt G Walker Lake Louise RCMP" If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Housing Department. Thank you for your cooperation, The Housing Team

ATTN: ALL TENANTS RE: SOCIAL DISTANCING POLICIES IN EFFECT Dear Charleston Residents,... In response to the current climate and in an effort to try and keep CoVID-19 from entering our residence and town, we are instituting the following policies - effective immediately: A ZERO GUEST POLICY is now in effect for the Charleston Residence. Everyone has the responsibility to take action in reducing our community's exposure to this virus, and eliminating unnecessary visitors to our homes is a logical place to start. If you wish to see your friends from other areas, or other businesses in town, do it in the ample outdoor space that we are lucky to have as residents of Banff National Park. It is of upmost importance that everyone is heeding the social distancing measures recommended by major heath organizations. Keep your distance, wash your hands, and use the hand sanitizing stations provided every time you enter the building. The COMMON ROOM in Charleston Residence is now closed until further notice. Congregations of groups of people larger than 5 are highly discouraged, and again, if you want to socialize do it outside - go for a walk to the river - just keep your distance. Please be reminded that you all live in a shared space in some capacity, and it is only fair that everyone do their part to reduce exposure. Being unafraid of being sick is not an excuse to ignore these directives; There are members of our community that are much more vulnerable than you are and it is paramount you make an effort to protect them, even if you feel you do not require protection. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Housing Office. Your cooperation is appreciated as we work through these hard times together. The Housing Team

Dear Residents of LLSR Staff Accommodation, These are confusing and unprecedented times. This post is intended to help guide you in your decision on what to do now that the resort has closed for the season. At this time, we encourage seasonal staff with families abroad to go home and be with them while you can. Public health authorities are indicating that travel restrictions are only going to increase.... For those of you who have their sights set on summer employment at LLSR, going home does not have to be the end of that pursuit - you can always come back. LLSR is aiming to open for summer operations on June 19th, 2020, should the circumstances permit us to do so. If circumstances change for the better, borders should be open and travel permitted - allowing you to return when continuation of operations can be confirmed. For those of you who are considering or wanting to stay here and wait it out to pursue summer employment, please carefully consider the following: - We are at the mercy of this pandemic and the rules and regulations implemented to contain it. External circumstances made it impossible to extend our winter season beyond Tuesday, March 17, and they make the future difficult to predict. - We are still working out what housing availability will look like through June 19 or whenever we are able to reopen. We have not kicked anyone out of housing, but for those of whom employment is not available, you will need to support yourself financially for the coming months. Please ensure you factor this in to your decision making process. If you have any questions, concerns, or you just want to talk through your situation and decision making process please feel free to come see us at the Housing Office. If you have made a decision on your course of action already, please communicate this to the Housing Team as soon as possible. All the best, The Housing Department

Dear Tenants, In light of the news of resort operations shutting down there will be a lot of questions - please be assured that everyone will have adequate time to ask these questions and receive answers. No one is being immediately kicked out of housing - everyone will have time to put plans in place and make decisions. For those of you who have already made the decision to depart, please communicate your plans with the Housing Office. We understand if you are leaving in a... hurry due to extenuating circumstances. Please be reminded that, in accordance with direction from Alberta Health Services, practicing social distancing is of paramount importance. Please heed these protocols when using common spaces, and please keep social congregations in enclosed spaces to a minimum. Please also be reminded that many tenants still have to go to work tomorrow, and all standard housing policies are in effect. Thank you for your cooperation, The Housing Team
