Are you interested in politics? If yes, then this will be of interest to you. TUXIS Youth Parliament of Alberta has opened registration for their winter session (Dec 26 - 31). Members have the opportunity to improve their debate and public speaking skills, grow as leaders, and meet others from across Alberta. The Grizzlies are back and wanting to help support your adventures. Submissions will open in the new year, so Scout, Venturer, and Rover sections are encouraged to start working on their plans for incredible adventures. Over the next few months the Grizzlies will be providing details on what they are looking for in your submissions along with help with planning your adventures through the council newsletter and social media. There were 11 applications last year, of which 5 made it into the final stage, where they presented to the Grizzly Den. The winners were given a part of $15,000 that was provided to the challenge by the Chinook Scout Foundation.

We are very excited to announce our newest fundraiser to support great Scouting Adventures--Scouts Coffee! Some of my favourite camping memories start with a gr...eat cup of coffee around the campfire, so I am so excited that we are able to offer this great way to support youth go on amazing Adventures this year. We have partnered with Equator Coffee Roasters, a Canadian company that roasts organic, ethically sourced beans. They have put together 5 different Scouting themed blends that will be sent direct to consumer! 35% of the cost of these products goes back to each group and an additional 5 % funds our No One Left Behind (NOLB) program. Our supporters are helping not only local groups but also under privileged youth across the country! Contact your local groups for more information! #scoutsdostuff #scoutscanada #scoutscoffee
