We are often asked how our humidors have such a brilliant mirror finish? Truth be told it is a process to be able to produce this type of finish on our humidors. Much like creating cigars, in order to produce an award winning taste or blend this takes years of knowledge and mistakes until you are able to create something magical. We have made every mistake, learned and mastered every short coming from those early years. The finishing of our masterpiece humidors takes over 1...0 processes. We spray our finish on then wet sand, repeat this process 6 times. To remove any imprefections. At this time we allow our finish to fully heal before further proceeding. Lacquer takes about a week to cure while varnish takes two weeks. We then lightly dry sand using super fine sandpaper. Next we use a rubbing compound, used to level the surface, It works by leveling the different stretches of different depths. . Lastly comes polishing, we do this by hand using a high speed power buffer. This produces the high gloss mirror finish we feel our humidors deserve. It also showcases the design and grain of the woods we use in our humidors. It sure is a process that we feel deserves the attention we put into it. After all when you proudly display your humidor it becomes a focus point in your home or office that will be with you for a life time.
