Let's make Halloween, Hallogreen! Keep those candy wrappers out of the landfill and recycle packaging. Small cardboard boxes and aluminum foil wrappers can go in your curbside recycling bin. Plastic wrappers from candies and chocolate bars can be taken to General Grant’s Sahali or North Shore locations. Unsure of what can be recycled? Use the Waste Wise app to see what goes where. For more tips on reducing waste, visit Kamloops.ca/WasteReduction.
We hope you had a spooooky Halloween! Now it’s time to compost those pumpkins! Unfortunately, the Pumpkin Smash event scheduled for today has been cancelled. Happy Halloween! Don’t have a candy bag for tonight? Make your Halloween, Hallogreen, by bringing your own reusable bag or decorated pillowcase. Have a safe and spooky night! Remember to mask up and if you're eating candy on the go, pack some hand sanitizer. For more COVID-19 safety tips, visit the BCCDC website at https://tinyurl.com/y4fcbwp5.
