Your mindset is recognized by your body Right down to a genetic level ... 90% of negative emotions/feelings actually come from thoughts of the past or future worries and our bodies cannot recognize what is real and what is not real ... And because our bodies cannot recognize real from unreal it reacts exactly the same way by activating the sympathetic nervous system and releasing loads of cortisol putting us into fight flight or freeze mode. Overtime this can cause serious i...llness ... because we cannot control our outside environment we have to work on our internal calm because it’s not the stress that kills us, it’s our reaction to the stress. Hans Selye ... Checking in with your higher self and having the confidence to know that we already have great strengths within us should be a daily part of our routine as well...HOW? ... One of the practises that I use and I teach my clients is living intimately in the present moment with an attitude of gratitude ... When you are living in the present moment and are grateful for all that you have, this allows you to feel love, joy and happiness and does not leave room for the negative emotions to enter your mind. When you feel love joy and happiness your body releases the happy hormones: serotonin dopamine are released and oxytocin is produced ... Every morning I journal and mention everything and every person that I am grateful to have in my life.
