We are excited to tell you that we have been given the green light to reopen!! At the Frame's Guest House, we host people who are in Calgary supporting someone at either the Foothills or Children's hospital. Not only do we provide a safe option for accommodation and breakfast, but we also drive our guests to and from the hospital each day. Thank you so much for helping in the past to spread the word about what we provide for our guests. Could you please do that again - t...o help spread the word that we have reopened? Please also let people know that in addition to hosting the person supporting someone in the hospital, we have also expanded who we accept to include some out-patients. Typically these guests have been undergoing radiation treatments or have just had a kidney transplant, and need to have daily medical appointments for 4-6 weeks. Please share this post far and wide so that people know that we are open again! We do have a 4-6 week booking that starts on Feb. 10, however if you know someone we can help either before or after then - it would be our pleasure to do so! Thanks again for all that you do to spread the word. You definitely make a difference in people's lives when you do.

The Frame's Guest House is still closed due to Covid Restrictions - however we will open as soon as it is safe to do so. Please like and follow our FB page so that once we are open again, you can help us get the word out! Many of our guests are seniors who are very nervous to stay in a hotel or to use taxi services - especially with Covid continuing to be a concern. Unfortunately the new Covid restrictions by the Alberta Government impact our current ability to be open. We will be back as soon as it is deemed safe to do so by Alberta Health. If you need a place to stay, we do have some suggestions of others who offer individual units. You would need to provide your own breakfast and ride to and from the hospital, but at least you would have an option other than a hotel. Stay tuned... we will hopefully be back after Christmas!

Who do you know who has radiation treatments coming up in Calgary? We have been hosting a guest who was here to do that for the last 5 weeks and it has worked out really well! In one week, they will be done and we will have room for someone you may know! We are very conscious of our guests being immunosuppressed during this time of Covid, so here are the ways that we address that. - Our home is sanitized daily - We only host one family unit at a time. The second guest ...bedroom is kept available for anyone who comes to support them during their treatments. - Masks are worn when social distancing isn't possible (ie. in our car when we drive them to the hospital) - Guests have space in our fridge, a cupboard and the freezer to store their food. - The dishes and cleaning supplies that they will be using are in a separate space that only they touch. - They have their own bathroom Please help to spread the word to anyone you think may appreciate this option for accommodation and support!
