As we wrap up the year 2020 I want to give you this lifetime gift of knowledge as we dance into 2021: **Live in the moment with clear and concise ideas of where you see ourselves in the future.** Be present. Be interested. It's literally our gift to ourselves and others.... Live your best life, in the moment. We choose our mindset. Attitude is ours but it's not who we are, we can change it. When we choose our attitude, our behavior changes and becomes our new character. When we create new habits, we alter our *attitude, replace *behaviors and merge into a person with depth of *character. A, B, C...it's the way to positive self-image. Look up, make eye contact in the mirror ...and with others, smile with your eyes, be brave, be kind, say the kind words building on your tongue, write the note, reach out to young and old, read the books, write in a journal with a pen, write and draw out your anger then burn it or shred it, have a tough conversation, be honest, ask forgiveness, clear the air, empathize, feel remorse, forgive, ask advise, ask for help, take care of people and the earth, have fun, sing, dance, paint, draw, create, watch TedTalks, listen to insightful podcasts, enjoy the music, take your vitamins, take a walk, go for a hike, take a Sunday drive, build a snowman.....and so important for mental and physical health...breath in deep once a day...fill your lungs and add oxygen to your body. On that note, here is my last parting gift of knowledge for you that has accelerated my good health: Breathing...it changes our body chemistry ...it's interesting science. Perhaps the most powerful lesson I have learned and love to teach is: "What am I making up?" The fact that 1. fear is in the future and ... 2. the things we hear/make up in our head are not real ....are two statements of knowledge that completley change some peoples lives. Completely! When we become **aware of our thoughts**: "It's going to be awful.. "The roads are going to be busy..." "I am going trip and fall...(then does)...i knew it, i am so dumb" "Mary doesn't like me, she blah blah blah..." (All made up) AND **we intellectually understand** the fact that... if we can make up fearful thoughts ...then we can ALSO **make up positive thoughts**. Here's the simple TIP to help you: ***** **THOUGHT MANAGEMENT TIP:** When a negative thought (fear, worry, doubt) pops in your head say "Next" and then tell yourself the opposite. ****** That's it. *Example: If my thought says "You're going to fall" I say "Next" (in my head) to that thought and then I **decide what I want** and then I say: "I trust myself, I have great balance!" I say it with enthusiasm to push the positive thermostat up into the light range! The light attracts light, becoming a magnet for *what I want*. Interestingly enough my *body immediately responds* and my awareness sharpens. My focus broadens to the trail ahead of me, my body feels lighter and more able to scale the rocks and choose the path of each step. Remember the voices in your head are normal. We all have them all day long. Completely normal and natural. Its how we make decisions. As we practice this Life Skill Tool it progresses into a lighter state of *being*. Our **mindset** changes to positive. Anxiety begins to dissolve because we have stopped programming our subconscious mind with fear based thoughts. This is my ... "I wrote-out-some-seriously-tough stuff-look." Seriously. I have such an amazing memory that I can remember moment by moment details.... Good.and.bad. Over 1500 words were in the way of productivity These 25 days of camping and writing great chapters on the lake has also cleared out some junk! It pops into my mind and I immediately write it out. It's a book (or two) in itself!... yet it kind of has "The Help" secretiveness so it might take another couple years to release. In the meantime there is lots of helpful content on it's way! Here is a video... on Vision Boards and how to make them work... that Patti and I created the day before I went camping. I love how a "vision" that I had years ago turned into a reality. When I watch Wayne Dyers movie I said to myself: "That is how I want to write a book" It worked! I camped, kayaked and wrote content since July 10th!
