Hey folks: CANFOR has just released a draft plan to keep spraying Round Up/glyphosate into watersheds around Prince George for the next 6 years. WHO health scientists have concluded glyphosate is probably carcinogenic to humans. It's not rocket science: when you dump thousands of litres of a probable carcinogen into our watersheds, it finds its way into our fresh water. Hey BC! As the dust settles on the election, we're feeling hopeful and want to say thank you. For the first time in BC's history, a newly elected government has promised to create a BC Watershed Security Strategy and a BC Watershed Security Fund. YOU made this happen! Of course the devil is always in the details, and we all know what can happen with election promises. But with your help, we will hold this new government to account every single step of the way and make sure we see real concrete improvements to the health, security and local control of the fresh water sources we all depend on.
