Today is the filing deadline for you 2019 personal taxes!! But not really..... The Canada Revenue Agency has confirmed that they will not be charging penalties for late filing but only if you pay your balance due by September 1st. BUT...if you want your refund or other benefits, file now!!

ATTENTION & #headsupbusinessowners ! The CRA is calling business owners who have had unusual activity on their CRA accounts. With scamming on the rise (sadly) they are doing their due diligence to protect you. Note that they will NEVER get aggressive, ask for banking or credit card information and will never ask you to settle a debt by phone. If you're unsure if the call is legit, ask them to hang up and call back another time. Most scammers try to keep you on the line and... get you right away. Stay vigilant and #knowthedifference

I can not believe the call I just received from a client - just today she applied for and was approved for the CERB. Later today, she received an email claiming to be from the CRA telling her to "click here" to accept her e-Transfer. THIS IS A SCAM - The CRA uses only direct deposit. How do these scammers sleep at night! Honestly!... PULEEZ use extreme caution with any emails you receive claiming to be from any government agency.
