This is a silly technique! Definitely worth trying out, but maybe not the best choice as your bread and butter. How many people use either the @theberimbolo or the twister?
People ask all time time "who is the best grappler?" and the answer is usually Karelin, Nomura, Teddy Riner, but for some reason Kaori Icho and Saori Yoshida are rarely at the beginning of the conversation. If you were going to look at a record to determine who the best is how could you choose anyone other than these two. Between the two of them they have won. 7 Olympic Gold medals and 23 World Championships. Are you serious! Next time someone asks, Who the best is, put these two amazing grapplers in the conversation. Bad boy coming through with his yellow belt! Alec is one of our amazing writers, strength coachs and friends. He appears in a lot of our video with his pristine while belt on but not anymore. He has been grappling for a good chunk of time but always without a gi. Today he took a great leap into judo by achieving his yellow belt. Congratulations!
Here is a very useful sumi gaeshi type of throw. Tie the arm up, Stay far away and use momentum to throw your opponent to a side that they can't block.
