Another kite ready to fly again ...
Still doing what we do ....
Hybrid drysuit ( neoprene bottom, drysuit top ) with a jammed & broken brass dry zipper - remembered to take the before picture. Had to cut out a panel of suit fabric around the brass dry-zip to remove a big patch of reinforcing fabric glued around zipper on the inside. After picture shows the suit with a new TiZip Masterseal 10 dry zipper and a surrounding panel of new drysuit fabric.
Very mini panel repair - may not look like much, but some delicate work on this job. The kite had a canopy tear very close to the attachment of a strut, which had to be temporarily lifted to get the patch ( a mini-panel patch of exactly the same double-ripstop fabric ) on under the strut, then the canopy reinforcing replaced and perimeter stitched, and finally the strut back onto the canopy. All in a day's work.
Canada Post have now made it super easy AND affordable to ship your kite or drysuit to us for repair. Just go to a postal outlet and pick up a flat-rate shipping box ( Large for a kite, medium for a drysuit ) : https://www.canadapost.ca//send/parcels/flat-rate-box.page
CKR needs a new home soon. The current owner of the shop space we lease has sold and the new owners want us out. Anyone knowing of an available space ( 850 - 1,000 sq. feet, heated, well lit, water, bathroom ) please contact us immediately.
Man Facebroke drives me nuts !
Another Ocean Rodeo Heat drysuit converted from drysocks to latex ankle seals. We also have short TiZip zippers like the longer entry zipper. So if you have a Heat and want a relief zipper installed in your suit, we can do that too. And if you have a Soul with latex ankle seals and want it converted to drysocks, not a problem.
This was a fairly big recent repair : 461 cm total tear length, 5 tear direction changes, trailing edge tension line needed a major re-set as well.
